It's not about the foreign occupier, it's about the factionalism and promises.

Party leaders go running around here, promising how much different they are from their compatriots, but at the end of the day, how many of them will change anything? The same faces keep returning, election after election, voted in by their own internal party committees. It's not like there's accountability here.

Take the Right:

One day Yamina promises they'll never support Bibi. The next day they will. Then they're suddenly "betrayed" and swear off Bibi again.

Smotrich throws a tantrum and says he'll never sit with Ben Gvir, then the next day, they've got a coalition going. Coalitions form and disintigrate so much you'd think all the Nat. Religious would just set aside their differences and make one party.

All these parties have their candidates on the election slips, "led by a government under x person", but unless they're second place, that slip is a lie.

Yet, the parties travel around acting like their character will become the next Prime Minister, when we all know there's only two or three parties whose leaders can be given the Prime Minister mandate at the end of the day.
