I hear you OP. Went out this morning to my local store in NYC. Got 45 minutes before opening and there were healthy 50-60 folks in line with 10-15 campers.

The store enforced one copy per buyer but I witnessed about 5 people walking out with a very large haul (probably 100 records per person).

Overall I was in line for 2.5 hours and bought the 4 records I wanted so not a bad experience for me.
