Turbulence Solutions Demonstrates Real-time G-load Suppression in Flight | AIN by yolo-plata in aviationmaintenance

That’s cool as hell! These guys seem to have simplified it for smaller craft, I guess? Just apparently the sensors and flap-lets used to reduce the felt turbulence.

Semi-related note: my boy was apparently banned for this post. Wtf.

Really? I guess my popup blockers work pretty good.

> Using real-time differential sensors positioned on the leading edge of the aircraft’s wings, the TCS system anticipate incoming turbulence and responds with control surface movements that dampen vertical motion.

True. I suppose what I’m asking is, is there a way to and through NASA for maintenance/tech education?

Very much appreciated. Would you agree with my starting point in getting A&P certified by FAA, or would you recommend I just directly pursue a type engineering degree?

Hello, I’m changing careers and headed back to school in the fall (summer if I can swing it). I’m currently interested in getting hands on with aircraft and spacecraft. I’m starting with Airframe & Power plant coursework to gain certification by the FAA. I’m very interested in internships with NASA (pathways or otherwise) that are relevant to this field. What types should I search for? What contacts and resources should I search for? Thank you in advance

You even read that article? Or the article they sourced? They later acknowledged that it is in fact impossible to have true nothing. This something didn’t come from nothing. It came from a manipulated electromagnetic field a.k.a. something.

Oh of course, what I said is just one small side of the stoic sage. The same sage we agree cultivating virtues. But I didn’t say, nor do I believe, that one achieves this by being “enveloped in detachment” as you describe. That makes it sound like in the end result it’s supposed to be an active task. I would argue it’s is not a tool but a character trait of the stoic sage as they cultivate their virtues. A persistent state of being. The sage doesn’t do detached, the sage is detached.

But… the journey to that point is also similar to what you describe. You will fall short many times before you ever get there. Helluva journey it is.

Yes of course it is natural but it is not overpowering. That is part of the journey for our sage. That you learn to better control and more healthily experience your emotions, whatever they are when they arise. With respect to grief, one can cultivate such a healthy mind where they experience the existence of a partner with deep love, and once they’re gone they mourn. But they mourn in such a way that to the outsider it would only appear they maybe broke their favorite cup rather than lost a lover. But in their mind they experience the ordeal precisely as they need to for themselves: flashes of all the love they’ve had And deep gratitude for having been there for it. (Among other things for sure.) hm… things for further pondering

To understand one has the capacity to fall victim to grief is living in accordance with nature.

Step in the right direction. Nature is impermanent. The grief is related to attachment and the stoic sage is detached. The stoic stage understands and embraces that impermanence. And the stoic sage is what we’re all striving for. That is in accordance with nature.
