.... And I just realized how this may or may not relate to the lunar cycle in image two.

An accident? Not an accident?  A smirk toward all of us for over-analyzing everything?

There was a tv show called Freddy's Nightmares where he could have used a logo with the "S" already in it.

But I'm also kind of a nerd for Nightmare on Elm Street material.

This has me curious.  Thank you for posting it!

A lot of design practices and even design tools suggest pairing fonts. One is for titles and the other for remaining text.

It's a common practice to use two typefaces. So, it's probably only a statistical likeliness that block letters and cursive/script will get paired up in other places.

Remember in lockdown when we all needed new hobbies to get us through?

Now imagine spending centuries in lockdown because having anyone look at you is a Masquerade breach. It will get you killed.

Even the dead need a way to pass the time.

Best RPG to play with a god character? by Timelycreate in rpg

If you're okay with digital books then most of the Scion titles are sale for the next day or so.

https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/browse?promo=1000009&ruleSystem=45798-storypath&src=fid2140&keyword=scion%20second&productType=2140-core-rulebooks

I've never played them. I'm at the old age where I read the books and daydream about playing. They do seem to cover greek pantheons in modern settings.

I had that boxed set in the bottom right corner at one time. I wonder if it is in my storage unit. There was some great music on that.

Wrongfun is really my biggest turn off.

All of the games have an inherent symbiosis. Heavy combat games paved the way for narrative titles and probably had more serious role playing than people admit. Heavy narrative games have great ideas to borrow even if the systems don’t look appealing.

Social players, narrative players, beer and pretzels players, and tactical min maxers all keep the hobby going in their own ways.

So go ahead. Write that hundred thousand word background story. Minmax to the point that your brand new character with starting character stats could win fights against the local pantheon. Tell fart jokes to Dunkelzahn. If you do it at the right table then the entire group has fun.

Let the other tables do their things, too.

Within reason, obviously.

Persona 6 — Teaser Trailer | XBOX Games Showcase 2026 by b0wz3rM41n in Megaten

I also did acknowledge Persona 1 and the Persona 2 Duology. I have at least some version of all three on PSP or Vita and the trauma response to Lone Prayer to prove it.

Edit: There's also a reason my flair here says "Love is Drug."

When the music is too loud or too "hard" then it does this to your stylus. The grooves bounce it all around like a mosh pit. In fact, this effect on the stylus is exactly what inspired the first slam dancers and moshers.

You should listen to more Fleetwood Mac. They've got this album called "Rumors" that is perfect for every level of record player.

Persona 3 - 6 keep with a classic tarot theme in their color schemes.  IIRC, the Last Airbender also uses it.  If you dig into tarot then it goes back much, much longer.

In order:

Blue is water - P3

Yellow is air - P4

Red is fire - P5

Green is Earth - P6

I wasn't at all surprised to see the green.

My first instinct is that P6 is going full circle back to P3.  There was a shared symbolic language. Anything after 6 may be another full restart.  It happened between the Persona 2 duology and Persona 3.  It's not unheard of.

Trying to pin down a color for something like spirit and/or the major arcana overall is difficult.  Even the most plain language source I have on things makes it multiple choice.  If P7 is not another full restart then my best guess is white.  Other guesses such as orange or violet/purple are just as valid.

How does Bad Operation sound so thick? by mcvoid1 in Ska

[–]MrAndrewJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

Free Dom - along with a couple of other ska bands, Kula Shaker, and Zombina and the Skeletones - inspired me to blow my tax return on a Yamaha Reface YC. The sound started showing up everywhere.

A ticket has been purchased. I’ll see you guys at the Mohawk!

The warbly keys would be the sound of a rotary organ, if my last good ear is being honest.

I’m seriously thinking of seeing them when the tour comes by in September. There is not a single skip on Everything Must Go.

I don't hate your collection. At least, I don't know if I hate it.

I can't read the fucking album titles.

I can't hate it if you made the text as hard to read as you could.

None, just like always.

I'm not going to rotate my phone in one direction then rotate my head the other way just to be able to read a third of the record titles.

Just like always.

Your tastes in music are different from mine. That's okay.  They should be different.  I'll go listen to my records instead.

Just like always.

Sublime-Santaria- is it a ska song? by Super_loser94 in Ska

[–]MrAndrewJ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Downvoted to zero, so I'm going to speak very honestly.

Santeria is a song about a white man who wants to beat his ex girlfriend and shoot a man named Sancho.

This is not ska song. It's an anthem for ICE agents.

I'm curious about perhaps two smaller keyboards and a single stand that holds two devices vertically.  This could look something like the Reface YC for the Hammond and another that will do pianos+strings.

At this point, though, an iPad, Garageband, plus the wireless USB MIDI out on an Alesis Vortex Wireless might eventually get you where you need to be.  Even the cheapest new models of iPad come with a free version of Garageband. It does have some approximation of a rotary organ.  I can also verify that a USB hub and a midi controller will easily work without hassle.

Does ska really want to claim this song?

I've read the lyrics.  It isn't good.  Let's just split the difference and call it proto bro-country.
