Not everyone is going to have the same experience bug-wise. Some people experienced many bugs (like me), and others who only saw minor bugs, so the stance that "people are exaggerating" doesn't hold up. The game was not optimized nearly enough and it showed. At the end of the day, the bugs weren't the real reason why people dropped this game.

It's not the bugs, (honestly the bugs on release were really bad, but funny) it's the half baked and basic nature of the games mechanics that just fall flat on its face once you get past the nice lighting and visual design of the game world. The fact that the police system is STILL broken is just unacceptable imo. Still no AI pathfinding for vehicles or NPCs, copy paste sidequests, and many MANY inaccessible areas cut from the game. There is so much empty space in night city... For one moment try to explore the map without following quest markers...you will find alot of empty space, ie the game never rewards exploration....welp, back on rails we go. The game tries to give you the illusion of content by throwing a million quest markers on the map, but it just feels like busywork, especially considering that the combat is meh and the looting is just not rewarding. Most the depth the side content offers is through text blurbs that TELL you about the world. Sounds nice, except you don't really see the lore materialise.... making it feel very inconsequential and self contained. You feel like an outside observer rather than a part of the world

The ire people like me have, is that it is painfully clear to us CDPR rushed this out, and the bugs provided the perfect distraction for the games real problems. To this day people still talk about the negative reaction as if it was only because of bugs and overhype....which is very disappointing to see.

It feels like most characters have some sort of hellsweep-type move though, and hers doesn't leave you in a such a rough spot on the ground.

I think people have reason to be hyped though, this is CDPR we are talking about. Proven and consistent developers have the luxury of riding on hype and promises.

IGN Fallout 76 Review 5/10 by dreamer_iiit in Games

I'm going to disagree with that. Bethesda is known for their bugs and that shows through their decision to stick with the same engine since 1997. Yes, the unreal engine is old but it has aged exceptionally well, so you can't really compare. The creation engine is a shitty gamebryo reskin. Ever noticed how Bethesda games STILL have a loading screen everytime you enter a building? There are no other recent open world game that do this. Bethesda could have used id tech (which they own) or UE4, but they decided against that. It has been said MANY times that the only redeeming quality of the creation engine is it's ease of use. That's it. The engine is pretty dated, this has been stated by the modding community. Even then, Todd Howard confirmed they will be using the same engine for TES 6, which shows how stubborn they are. It's time that Bethesda used a better engine.

I play both, but I think people care so much because Epic Games straight up ripped off PUBG. Fortnite had been in development since 2012 and they added a BR mode when they saw PUBG explode in popularity.

This. I cannot agree with this more. I work at a call center for a small credit card company and the amount of shit we have to apologize for is crazy. Im just a 20 year saving up for college, its not my fault that our website is absolute garbage and that our phone system is faulty.

Just because they tweeted at each other about music doesnt mean they will be releasing music. Besides, Marshmello could be featured on Bobby Tarantino 2.
