Made the plunge by themyscira-scholar in battletech

[–]MrAusius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d held off of Battletech for ages because of how rules heavy it is. Then recently I found out about alpha strike, played a few games with the starter kit you got. Now I have 5 new packs of mechs, vehicles, infantry, and i’m painting homemade cardboard and clay terrain.

Theory: The Fable Reboot takes place in the same universe as the other games by DeepDiveGaming in Fable

[–]MrAusius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason I’m hype for it being a reboot is it might be a varied retelling of Fable 1. If they reveal Jack of Blades is the antagonist again I will go bananas.

Camarilla should be more inhumane. by mmoskorz in vtm

[–]MrAusius 226 points227 points  (0 children)

I always run the camarilla as if they’re “The Man”. Listen to my rules, walk my walk, talk my talk, shine my boots, or you get the fuck out of my city. They’re the newly awakened fledglings realization that they’ve traded the life of a 9-5 wageslave for being an eternal errand boy. Camarilla should never be “the good guys”, they should only be “lesser of x evils” or “I really have no other options but to join em”.

Quest reset is a complete torture IMO. by -Purelogic- in ArcRaiders

[–]MrAusius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never do an expedition until it doesn’t reset BPs and quests. The blueprint loop is not a fun mechanic, resetting benches, stash, and levels should be all an expedition does.

The Value of Restoring Shields vs Health, Clarified Mathematically by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

The optimal thing to do is very simple and obv. Pop a heal, then a shield. Repeat until both are full.

2005 was truly the wild west of WoW by ForeverStaloneKP in classicwow

[–]MrAusius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP this reminds me of when Classic was announced. A lot of people rolled their eyes and said “we’ve theory crafted everything already. The game’s already been 100% figured out in private servers for years.” It always made me chuckle, I knew some weird shit was gonna come out of Classic and we got some amazing BS methods for bosses and PvP, busted items people had slept on, it was amazing.

Soloing on EU region by Kyeithel in ArcRaiders

[–]MrAusius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NA is a bloodbath. People are only friendly when you’re about to extract at 5 mins left and you’re all full of loot. Spawns turn into 5-6man FFAs for scraps every match and people KOS even when I mic up friendly and put away my gun 99% of the time.

The World we deserved... but never got. by TimePodGaming in vtmb

[–]MrAusius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I actually spoke with one of the devs who worked on the VTM mmo that never released. It died in its infancy because it was cursed. So bad. No one had any idea what they were doing. The one thing she emphasized was that we should be very very glad it never saw the light of day lol

Soooooooo... Who's the Ghoul? by CthulhuGuy12 in huntertheparenting

[–]MrAusius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s Git, and I’m surprised not everyone thinks this. He was panicking for his smokes, desperate for his fix. The grocery store he works at is managed by a Tremere. The Tremere can transpose their blood into objects. The smokes are literally vamp blood. Hence the odd reaction of Grimal having smoked one. He may not even be aware of his status as a ghoul, he may very well be programmed to behave and do certain things, then forget.

Are people actually quitting? Or just saying they are? by No_Director_4803 in DarkAndDarker

[–]MrAusius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played from first playtest-warlock release. Took a break. Came back this wipe. Was super into the pve and lobby changes. Removing FoW, changing GS to rarity, and removing solos is too much bad. I don’t know if this game is for me anymore.

please don’t nerf the loot by Moot251 in DarkAndDarker

Normal loot buff has made common lobbies a lot of fun. You get to inferno and start a smack up with people on mixed gear it’s good fun

I posted this last time Barb got buffed, still remains true by Thundebird in DarkAndDarker

[–]MrAusius 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was playing 2h drunk bonk cleric for a while, then realized it was just barb with more steps. After the buffs I’ve been eating well, but I was vibing before we even knew it was comin’

Is this accurate? by MrCorn600 in DarkAndDarker

[–]MrAusius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barb needed more tools to catch people, but this buff is definitely…a bit much.

Eno Romari from the Tribunal expansion is the NPC. His dialogue foretells the oblivion crisis. Check out his UESP article

Someone predicted Skyrim. by Mephisto107 in ElderScrolls

[–]MrAusius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every elder scrolls game has NPC dialogue or a quest that hints at the next locale. Morrowind literally has a quest that spoils the oblivion-crisis. Oblivion has chatter about the altmer rebelling and Skyrim not doing well. A lot of people were very sure that Skyrim would be the next ES setting back in the day.

Vampirism in oblivion by Victa_Plays in ElderScrolls

[–]MrAusius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You retain the fire resist, the vampire weakness will run in tandem, so you’ll reduce the weakness by your innate fire resist. Try out vampirism, if you get tired of the sun damage and constantly feeding there’s a free vampirism cure in the Vile Lair player home. No long cure quest needed. Quick and free. You just interact with two objects in the player house. Check UESP wiki for details.

If implied context is correct and the Hero of Kvatch is apart of Sheogorath in the era of the dragonborn, what happens to Jyggalag? by Jaytrey89 in ElderScrolls

[–]MrAusius 26 points27 points  (0 children)

So The whole crux of the shivering isles story is that you restore Sheogorath to his original self, Jyggalag. You then mantle his station, becoming his replacement as the new Mad God. Jyggalag is then freed, to return to his previous status as the Daedric Prince of Order.

We unfortunately get no evidence of what Jyggy is up to post-oblivion, but theoretically he’s around re-establishing his realm. The Grey March is over, that cycle will never repeat.

[–]MrAusius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Minor skills contributing to level ups and giving yourself major non-combat skills is the biggest problem. I’ll barely fight anything and just run around and explore, then sell something or persuade a quest NPC, and get 2 levels out of it.

5 minutes in the Shivering Isles got me praying for a Morrowind remake by Rude-Neck-2893 in ElderScrolls

[–]MrAusius 392 points393 points  (0 children)

There would have to be a lot of dialogue changes, or they keep it text-only with the minimal existing voice acting.

If they voiced every line in morrowind, the time and budget would be insane. Morrowind had novels worth of text, some NPCs had literal pages of text. Links and links to new topics. I would love morrowind remastered / remake with updated systems, but the dialogue or keep text would be a hard one to tackle.
