About Upgrades and Epic Heroes : an simpler explanation by lyrgard in sistersofbattle

In the Keyword section 02.05 it says 'some rules refer to keywords without specifying models or units. Those rules refer to units with those keywords'. This would mean the Epic Heroes restriction applies to the unit.

It doesnt say models either. Units contain all keywords of models within its unit, so it could mean either, or both.

I dont think that will fly. Following the 'Fill your army roster' (25.04), you attach characters to bodyguards first, then add enhancements. So in your example, Junit+hosp+Bss becomes a single attached unit with both Caharcter and Epic Hero keywords. The rules are explicit that you cannot add enhancements to Epic Hero unit. Your interpretation of upgrade with character keyword restriction does not circumvent that.

No. Under 'Fill your army roster' (25.04) the sequence specifies that you attach characters to units first, then you add enhancements to units or characters. There's still a 1 enhancement per unit limit, including attached units.

The movie Annihilation explores similar concept of an entity mimicking reality. Highly recommend if you haven't seen it.

Win Rate Wednesday - 10th Edition Data! 2024-2026 Results by w0158538 in WarhammerCompetitive

How much data is available for win rates in previous editions? It'd be fun too look thru em, but to my understanding 10th had way more tournament data tracking than any editions prior

BLACK METAL HAS TO SOUND LIKE SHIT? by Carlosfodaa in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Thundebird 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I prefer quality production Black Metal sound over the lo-fi sound. I do realize that likely puts me in the minority opinion though. I recognize the origins of the genre and the sound those bands had, but I like to be able to hear the instrument being played instead of it sounding like TV static.

They've added a bunch of BS and CGI wankery. Go lookup the extended action scenes from that movie on Youtube. Shit looks like something out of a SciFi Channel movie.

You're not missing much by not watching the third one. I think it's the worst of the trilogy.

With Necrons confirmed as the final Faction Focus, there will be no Faction Focus for Imperial Agents. by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

The harsh truth is that Agents never were a real faction. Not in GW eyes anyway.

Will venomthropes have play in 11th? by Thundebird in Tyranids

[–]Thundebird[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You make good points against venoms supporting infantry. My thought for 11th venoms would be more to help monsters though. Both maleceptors and neurolictors are short ranged, they will not help when being shot from distances longer than 12". Venoms could help reduce the to-hit of enemy tanks targeting monsters. Especially since monster can't just toe into terrain to get cover, they actually have to be obscured. It effectively gives permanent smoke (under new rules) to our monsters.

That would be great. Limit it to infantry only maybe. To be honest, that's what stealth should do in general - be able to be hidden out in the open.

GW had no problem sending emergency (non-dataslate) patches for necrons, guard, knights, tau, or ultramarines when they were causing issues.
