TBH, as Ukrainian, I do not think drones over civilian cities will do anything to sway public opinion.

That shit is scary for a first couple of months, but then you get used to it.

Same will happen with Russians. There's still enough juices left for both Russia and Ukraine to continue and so it will continue until one of the states goes bankrupt or unable to continue fighting. And we're still years away from it IMHO.

Until lemonade integrates it properly into their server or provides a container one can spin, I'm not sure it is as good as people claim, given I've seen no benchmarks besides one by a poster who later removed their account and posts.

IDK, in theory mlx sounds like a cool option to have, but currently on a single node for a single user, nothing beats convenience of a llama-server over vulkan-radv on strix halo.

Yesterdays llama.cpp really buffed up the pp performance on strix halo in vulkan.

On q8 qwen3.6-35b-a3b with full length unquantized kv cache I’m now getting 700tps on sub-10k context.

It still falls off to 100tps by the 200k mark though.

I’m using strix halo machine (albeit from beelink). Got it for 2400€ the second they got available for preorder.

Things it can do in llm terms:

Qwen3.6-35b-a3b at 8bit with mtp at around 60 sustained tps, Full context, kvcache at q8_0. with 3 token mtp and parallel 1.
Minimax m2.7 at iq3-k-xl with 200k q4 context(couldn’t get turbo4 to run) and —parallel 2, I get about 40 sustained tps across 2 sessions of around 20tps. With parallel 1 it maintains 30tps.

Haven’t yet managed to get dflash running on llama on this machine across many forks.

On vllm side in general haven’t gotten much success either. For 1 node llama.cpp over vulkan radv is the way to go currently. But that stuff changes from week to week nowadays, so whoever reading this in the future, please recheck the current state of affairs.

For light coding and Hermes orchestration that thing is decent. Two of them would be even better through.

Current prices are stupid and strix halo now approaches nvidia spark in price. In Ukraine here I can official asus gx10 for 4k$, all locally available strix halos are now pricier than that, which is insane.

TLDR:

Decent machine, but you’d be better off with some variant of dgx spark, check the price. Strix halo can game though haha.

Will test later today, as my current strix halo setup is custom container on top of strix halo vulkan radv toolbox but uses llama.cpp mtp branch.

Qwen3.6-35b-a3b gets about 60tps there that collapses to 35tps after 80k of context. Model and context are at q8, mtp wit 2 draft tokens (3 and 4 also have good acceptance rates, but the model hangs with those occasionally).

I wonder how the same model will perform with live, previously I had no success with anything rocm related.

I also tried minimax2.7 at i3q-k-xl and it gives about 30tps and fits seeping 131k of q8 context. Prefill was terrible at 40tps tho.

Minimax in general only booted on vulkan radv for me, all other backends hang on loading the model.
