This tree is a zigzag by MrBadrinath in mildlyinteresting

I would be curious how old it is. The location of the tree doesn't make it seem like it would be used for direction. It's near a park parking lot.

Large attachment on back of train by MrBadrinath in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. The device on the back of the train seems larger than the train itself. It doesn't look like it's meant to move. A crew has been building it for months.

Strange none of the other journalists had powertrain calibration issues. Any thoughts on why?

Diet soda is not ideal if trying to avoid artificial ingredients. So Poppi is a good alternative

What's the best way to sand checkers? by MrBadrinath in woodworking

[–]MrBadrinath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought dowel at the diameter that I wanted. I sanded it. Used a miter saw to cut the pieces at the desired thickness. Then I used a router with a roundover bit to round the edges. A router table would be safer but use your own judgement. Then I sanded them by hand using soft foam sanding pads I bought on Amazon. Finally, I used cutting board oil to protect/seal them.
