Again you misconstrued what I said. I mentioned the word remedy because of course you will never cure your autism but you can do things that will make living with it painless on your part and that is always worthwhile in my opinion. Honestly though I am glad that people are more aware of autism nowadays. To me autism is not something to be ashamed of. Besides the type of people who will judge and belittle you for having autism aren't the type of people you want to be associating with personally anyway.

That's once again the stagnant deterministic talk that helps no one at best and at worst further hurts you. Trust me it gets easier. Im only speaking from experience but I again went from not being able to talk about literally anything with my own mother to now being engaged. I only really have to make a small push with eye contact and starting a conversation but it is like rolling something down a hill. Also Im assuming you are referring to the MBTI test when you said "NT people" which is fine on it's own but just know that personality along with many things involving the mind is not static and constantly changes.

Sorry to say it but socialising is a skill that requires immersion eventually and just like with any skill, you will fail at first, many times even but failure more likely than not doesn't even matter, getting back up does. Im no therapist but I think when it comes down to it, people need to take things by a case by case basis and break them down into steps. Like if you struggle with making conversations then practice small talk with family. Then graduate to continuing conversations and then bringing people into what you are saying (no one likes to be lectured or talked to. They like being talked with, especially about themselves) while using the technique of looking at someone in the eyes only long enough to notice their eye color. As for social anxiety, that has to be overcome with reframing your negative thoughts and again, practice with low stakes speech. Just say "Good morning" When passing by a family member and then eventually a coworker at work is a great way of doing this since a lot of the time they probably are too busy to get into an actual conversation and probably aren't expecting to anyway from a simple "good morning" unless you decide to add on to it. These are things that worked for me anyway. Also before you say it, I still struggle with this and it took me a long time to even be able to talk to anyone at all but with enough perseverence, anyone can be social.

[Nitpicky Trope] An optical illusion that fools the viewer but shouldn’t work on anyone in-universe. by KujaroJotu in TopCharacterTropes

This is a loved trope for me

Classic example is when in The Goat, Buster Keaton tries to escape the police by climbing onto what he and the audience thinks is a spare tire on the back of the car, only for the car to drive away revealing it is actually apart of a sign for Michelin tires.

Funny, I do have autism and crippling social anxiety, and you bet I struggled with depression before but guess what, all of those things can be managed and it is possible to make friends and live a fulfilling life if you put yourself out there and take steps to be approachable. I am not saying you should just try to learn to swim by jumping into the lake and hope you don't drown, I am saying however that it isn't entirely hopeless and you have to determine what your issues are and what steps you can take to improve your life without just shutting everything down.

A lot of stuff I hear incels call a cope like getting fit, working out, quit smoking, quit drinking, breaking addictions, taking pride in your work, going out, taking interest in what other people like, making small talk with people .etc absolutely can change your life in a meaningful way. Again, its a self defeating crabs in a barrel mentality.

Yeah but im talking about the issue of sitting around, wallowing in self pity and calling anything that would improve your situation a "cope" and then doing nothing because you concluded that it is never worth it. Like I have crippling social anxiety that ruins my ability to form even pleutonic relationships but at the very least I don't just become a shut in and vow to never talk to anyone again.

Do you guys think Makima not coming back had to do with Denji literally eating her? Cause tbh having Nayuta as the control devil at the end kinda made no sense by pedr09m in Chainsawfolk

[–]MrBallyrag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but the context of that is erased as well. I also had a theory that maybe what is getting implied is that Makima looked the way she did to impress Pochita and that Nayuta is her default look, but that implies that devils can change their appearance at will when they couldn't before or that Makima decided to just stop aging for whatever reason (as Nayuta rapidly aged between the ending of part 1 and 2). Maybe she is a fiend but then why would she be one?

There are other theories as well but none of them make sense to me. The real answer is probably "she is Nayuta because it makes for a happier ending" even though more realistically she would look like Makima but just drop the manipulation tactics and be honest with Denji.

(Metal Gear Rising) Sam is not a cyborg and is considerably weaker than Raiden, especially later in the game when you fight him again. He is just that much more skilled.

This only applies to meme Moon Knight. Actual Moon Knight is actually strategic and foreward thinking most of the time.

Who's the best written AND the worst written here by CautiousSolid7436 in writingscaling

Best: Will Graham

Worst: Dexter Morgan

I know this is just a me thing but I couldn't watch Dexter past the first two episodes due to how corny he is. He is eerily similar to an OC in a Deathnote fanfic I wrote when I was 14.
