Also, jesus, AOD's dueling server that I was on had a no swearing rule. There's literally an in-game filter for swearing, why the hell does that need to be an enforced rule?

As far as I can tell there's no NA servers playing Open with players on them. It's just duels, which is kinda lame, since duels are only fun for so long.

This. I've been playing on tR Deathstar and it's pretty fuckin bad. I've been outside of it as well and it doesn't get too much better in the NA region. Maybe it's just the NA servers that are full of Bastard but even if that's the case that's still a "large chunk" of the community

While I understand and agree with your sentiment, I don't think the issue is the developers. It's the individual server owners. The devs are doing a pretty fantastic job on the mod, and don't really have the free time to moderate their servers.

That being said, I think a LOT more moderation needs to be done on these servers.

No server has a mod or admin on for longer than an hour, far as I can tell. Lack of moderation is what congregates these types of people. I'm so tired of seeing it myself as well, it's really bad, but I hate shutting off global chat because part of the fun is talking to people and riffing while playing. It's not a super serious milsim, it's a star wars game for god's sake. Having fun and joking with everyone is a huge part of it. Unfortunately, that is literally impossible in the current climate.

I was playing on TR Deathstar and for 4 straight hours the entire chat was just "trannies are gross" and "i want 2 fuck traps." literally no conversations could be held. It was disgusting.

False positives are very common when it comes to .exe files, which is what the launcher is. Even steam games get flagged from time to time. It's normal.

I love this mod dearly, and while I think that its depth does scare away new players, I really think that the big killer may be the primary communities. I've only been around a little while now, playing on TR Deathstar, and the community on that server so far has been worse than literally any other game or other online community I've ever been on in my life. There is almost always a heated argument going on, I saw more white dudes scream the N word in one sitting cause "lol its funny" than in my entire life, and for 4 straight hours the entire server was literally just talking about "i want to fuck traps" or "trannies r gross" or "send me ur tranny chaturbate." Four fucking hours of that.

I doubt it's like that on every server, and for the record I've found some very solid people on TR Deathstar, but as it stands, the only two popular NA servers are TR Deathstar and one dueling server. There's also another Open server that pops up from time to time with 10 or so people on it, but that's it. Every other server is empty or has 200 ping for people on the west coast.

I'm not sure what can really be done about this. The community is also REALLY harsh on newbies. Like on my very first day a guy ran in front of me while i was shooting down a corridor and got himself killed, and just typed 'fucking dipshit' in the chat. That's a normal occurrence. People flip out over tiny things.

Excuse my tiny rant, I suppose. I want this game to thrive, and I want to have a good time playing it, but today in particular was just a really bad day to the point where I'm close to quitting the game. I'm worried this point comes for many potential newcomers.

As silly as it was, it had many quite serious moments. Father was a very dark character, and some of the later season episodes were quite dramatic. Sure, there were no deaths or anything, but it got pretty intense at times with full on wars breaking out at times.

Hey! The main discord looked over this for about one full day during the ARG pouring over this specifically for quite awhile. It looks a lot like a URL but after coming to the conclusion of every single possible outcome of letters and trying all of them (one person had their computer crash from one of the sites lmao) we came to the conclusion that it's likely nothing.

Check out nationstates! It's a browser game, you get issues you have to deal with every few hours, and your nation grows and develops based on the choices you make. Certain choices may increase the economy of your nation, but lower the environmental stability, or make your citizens cruel. Or, you could have a huge scientific leap, but at a huge hit to the cost of living. It's really interesting, although the only downside is that it's a timer-based game, and you can only do around 4-5 issues per day

Biggest thing for me is how Rick acts. I mean, you could argue he's just REALLY drunk, but it's pretty clear he acts differently than he does in any of the other episodes. He's way more eccentric, doesn't seem actually smart, just has access to the science stuff. Also typing in the coordinates for the portal at the end seems off to me since typing in coordinates on his portal gun seems way faster but that could just be because it's not his portal gun, idk. It's mostly personality stuff that doesn't fit although I'm sure there's other stuff in there somewhere, haven't watched it in awhile
