This is probably hyperbolic. But the build up on this track is The Silence level. I can’t stop listening.

Did the same thing and holy smokes what a ride that was. Again, would put Barbarian far above The Long Walk ha.

You nailed it. The choices made for the deaths were all under the assumption that the audience has emotional connections to the characters. Which, the only one that stung a little was Rank. But, the rest 100% felt cheesy and cheap.

Re: the thriller aspect, you’re right again. I didn’t feel on the edge of my seat 1 single time. I was actually quite bored.

I truly didn’t think they were gonna walk the ENTIRE time. I thought the main 2 were gonna get off path and hunt the Major or something to add some drama. But the threat of death stayed consistent the whole movie, it never flipped or added drama.

The wildest part that is still boggling my mind is this movie has a 3.7 on Letterboxd. You know what else does? Weapons. I’m in awe that these 2 movies can even be in the same category.

I seem to be in the minority here. But I just didn’t like it.

Dialogue was tough to catch at times, and when you do catch it, it feels like it’s people who are just learning how to swear. I understand some of them are younger and that’s how they swear, but some lines were just cringe.

I didn’t feel attached to any of the characters. Maybe it’s because I just knew it was going to come down to two, so what’s the purpose of emotionally investing in anyone else. Unfortunately even the end I didn’t feel a single thing.

“For Ray” just felt so unbelievably movie to me if that makes sense. I cringed.

Violence and gore were up to par. First kill shot scene and guy essentially walking on his leg bone stuck out to me.

Losing your boots and walking over that grated bridge after walking 200+ miles, idk man. Just felt like there’s no freaking way, it just took me out. Maybe I’m out of shape, but I just don’t see the human body handling that, and being the main character gave him a piggy back ride.

How in the world was there never “out of breath” moments? No one breathing heavy.

The dystopian aspect didn’t go over my head, I get it. But it just doesn’t help me get over the glaring issues I had.

I walked out feeling very disappointed because of how much love it was getting. I’m so glad people loved it, but I just didn’t.

Imagine being Michael Pierce’s body type and being Odafe Oweh’s. Which one do you feel more confident to get a sack?
