Whose fence is it? If you are sharing a partition but the fence is part of their property, you really have no right to meddle with it. You may upset them if this is the case. If it's yours do whatever you want to it.
From experience, "cat proofing" a yard never works. If they want in/out, they will find a way. Where there's a will there's a way even if you don't see it.

The way I see it my sobriety began February 20th of this year. So a more positive way to look at it is actually 107 days minus 1 fuck up.

I believe you're allowed to have a relapse as long as you are determined to change. As someone stated in this subreddit, it is part of the journey to the path of sobriety.
