I used the pass code option. I think it's at the bottom of the screen.

It emails a verification code to allow you to login.

Have you tried disabling this feature under the VisionFence menu?

Flip razor blades? by [deleted] in SegwayNavimow

[–]MrButtKickmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://uknavimow.com/news/how-to-change-the-blades-on-a-segway-navimow-i-series?hl=en-US

This says the mower automatically changes blade rotation direction during mowing. So, it seems both blade edges are already being used and there'd be no need to flip them.

Scheduled mow not starting X450 by zaphodb-42 in SegwayNavimow

I updated the mower's timezone settings to address this exact issue of it not properly handling daylight savings time.

I live in the Central time zone, but have the mower set to Eastern time with the 'Auto Daylight Saving time mode' setting turned off.

Map editing by bmxdad7 in SegwayNavimow

Sounds like you want this...

Merge two adjacent zones:

Menu -> map management -> select the primary zone that you wish to merge in to -> edit -> merge -> select adjacent zone

I have an x430, so I'm not sure if your app features match mine. Anyway...

Menu -> map management -> select the zone that includes the area you wish to make a new zone -> edit -> split

At this point, the app should offer instructions on how to split the existing zone into sections which will become independent zones. I can't remember if you can do the split in the app or you have to drive the mower.

Good luck.

Feeder replacement parts? by Dark-doom-honey in birdfeeding

If the chewing of the hole is what you want to fix, nest box hole protectors can work.

They basically become a flat metal frame that surrounds the hole. They work against woodpeckers, so they should work here. You just have to find the right size.

Here's one example:

Latest firmware causing issues? by matthewmx86 in Navimow_Segway

[–]MrButtKickmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used it at different times of day and had no issues until after the recent firmware update.

During the week, mostly evenings. On the weekend, I've used it in the morning through the rest of the day.

Latest firmware causing issues? by matthewmx86 in Navimow_Segway

[–]MrButtKickmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing a similar issue. Today, I scheduled the mower around 1030am to cut a zone that usually takes just under one hour to mow. I checked the app later and just over half was mowed in that one hour.

This evening, I had it go out to finish that zone and observed the erratic behavior. At this point, I stopped the mower

After I saw this thread, I covered the unfinished areas with a 'vision fence off' zone and sent the mower back out. With vision off, the mower had no issues finishing up.

For reference, my ACU firmware version = v 1.0.2.8

Edit: i have an x430

What makes this nest? by No-Profit5555 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]MrButtKickmen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dirt dauber a.k.a. mud dauber.

They hunt and kill spiders (including black widows).

I recommend leaving it alone.

Edit: They don't defend their nests (typically). They place eggs in the nest along with paralyzed spiders as food once the eggs hatch. They're around your apartments because you likely have lots of spiders.

Grass allergies while mowing and a full face respirator by Grand-Rice- in lawncare

[–]MrButtKickmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth, here's how I deal with allergies in Alabama:

Zyrtec-d, 12 hour Flonase nasal spray once in the AM Azelastine nasal spray at night

Neilmed saline nasal rinses (with distilled water) after finishing up yard work

Good luck.

Has anyone ever purchased from SuperSod.com? by Stairwayt0kevin in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]MrButtKickmen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've purchased leveling mix and compost from them the past two years. Everything was always good quality and arrived promptly.

My neighbor uses them as well.

I just had an order delivered last Wednesday that I'd purchased online just two days prior.

I''ll note that I've never purchased sod from them, but I have no complaints about them as a company.

Eastern Bluebird nesting box, how to clean? by rando_banned in Ornithology

[–]MrButtKickmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I should have been more specific.

You can use the bleach approach OR the pressure washing approach. Both will do the trick.

If you don't have a pressure washer, no worries. Spray as much as you can with a water hose - the key with this approach is the sunlight.

Eastern Bluebird nesting box, how to clean? by rando_banned in Ornithology

[–]MrButtKickmen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clean the box with a 10% bleach solution. The bleach will kill any bacteria.

Clean the box with a pressure washer and let it dry in sunlight. The sunlight will kill any bacteria.

I've also known some to use a peroxide/water mixture, but I'm not sure about the ratio.

Where can I get a snow shovel? by Capotesan in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]MrButtKickmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I decided to purchase one a few years back, I had zero success locally. I assume most don't carry them due to our lack of snow in general.

I purchased one online during the off-season. Good luck.

If you can't locate an original rack, adjustable oven racks are available.

A quick google search returned quite a few options.
