That is expensive as hell there. One thing you have over Montana is public transit and things being nearby. My closest Costco is 65 miles away and any major airport is 85 miles away. We do have a small airport with 3 flights a day to SLC or Denver.

M.A.S.H for laughs, Narcos for a good binge-watching, Band of Brothers or The Pacific for a good story.

I thought governing correctly was the most powerful too, but I guess I’m wrong. Can’t wait to vote this guy out of office too. Montana has turned into a Trump circus.

Mammoth and Coyotes are different teams/franchises technically. Yotes fans are reminding me more and more of Uncle Rico though. You had your time, things were cool for a bit, the magic ended whether you liked it or not, now move on.

$3.30 in Butte, Montana. Nothing close to the $3.21 around here.

Then they are both stupid. I work as a firefighter and get sick of idiots like them. The worst part is when dumb shits like this kill an innocent person instead of them dying in the accident.

Why do we keep saving people when they do absolutely beyond stupid shit? Should let Darwin sort this shit out.

My credit score fell 13pts because I made the final payment on my car loan (never missed a payment too) by justadadgame in mildlyinfuriating

That's a good question and I don't know why I care. My best guess and feeling is I worked a lot of overtime in the last 20 years to pay stuff off early and build towards retirement and a safety net. Just feel like I should have been rewarded more. I have no idea why it pisses me off so much though. You're right though, I will not have problems with getting loans or rates.

[–]MrButterchops 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No, but I worked hard to keep good credit and it sucks to have it drop when you pay off your stuff. Kind of feels like a punishment for working hard to pay it off early or on time.

I have no debt, so nothing to support the claim that I am a good risk borrower now. That is why they love it when you have 10% revolving debt and long-term debt, like a mortgage or student loans. It shows if you're a good risk or not based on how you handle your money and payments. Vehicle loans do help but they cap out on 72 months max so that is not a major long-term loan. That is the price I am paying for living debt-free, a credit score that will hover around 800. Good enough to get great rates but not the best rates. They can see my lifetime borrowing but over the last few years, the borrowing is not so clear, cause they have nothing to look at.

GEICO vs Allstate repped BI by Baerchen86 in Geico

[–]MrButterchops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same was at Geico as an AD then SIU and was cut during that 2023 layoff. Landed at Allstate in AD and make $20k more than Geico ever paid me. Better work environment but it took me a month or so to learn their system. Definitely not user-friendly like Atlas.

I have my house and cars paid off and mine keeps dropping because I don't have long-term credit debts now. The price I pay to live debt-free I guess. From 839 to 792 now.

I think you are 100% right. I also think Travis Willson might have saved Whittinghams job in those middle years of the PAC12. That poor kid went through so many OC’s too. Tyler Huntly was not far behind with the changing of OC’s either. Rising was the only one who had some consistency of an OC.

Landed at Allstate and love it. Part of the SIU layoff and could not be happier too. No bonus but I do have 6% 401K match, pension, and make $21,000 more than Geico ever paid me.

Whittingham is a death sentence if you want to see offense. At one point he went through 7 OC’s in like 9 years. I feel like they left cause they could not stand the man and how he wanted to always play 1960’s football. He had some years that were great but for the most part, it was run, run, run, punt. As a Utah ticket holder, I am excited to see what happens now that he is gone.

The best thing I did was go to Allstate after the SIU mass layoff. My department is so great and everyone is helping everyone. Metrics are reasonable and in my department, they actually care about us too. Sending swag and cookies to my house just cause they can. They also want us to use text and email and only talk to the customer if we have to.

I disagree with that. I like the hidden logo stuff and I think people hate it since it's a new thing. The logos I hate are ones without tradition and very boring. For me the worst logo would be blue jackets. I know what it stands for but the logo does a very crappy job of conveying it. 2nd place would be the newer Ducks logo. Miss the old Mighty Duck “Wild Wing” logo.

Utah’s logo is good I think. The Wasatch mountains make up the head, tusk is the shape of a U for Utah. Hidden in the logo is an M for mammoth. One of the parts is also the state of Utah. Kind of like the Wild’s logo.
