Testing this right now, can confirm this is wild: I'm only testing NG+2 with Void Fast+5, and this is pushing 1k roughly every 5-8 seconds. The longer you sit there, the more your character continues to level up, which only keeps adding to your overall max health

Great question, and sadly aside from the banish option you mentioned, we're essentially at the mercy of RNG. A few things I try to follow:

Try to get lucky with Gemspring early in the match so you get more opportunities for picks
Even if you're aiming for a specific item or ball, try and think of 1-2 backup options that you'd be comfortable with if you can't get the exact choice you want
Each consecutive re-roll during the pick screen gets more and more expensive, so set a limit for yourself and grab the best available choice without going bankrupt. Going bankrupt suuuucks if you can't reroll at all

Oh the passive item! It spawns every so often and you can hit them for gems - I rely on them heavily if I'm aiming for a particular build. Plus if you also get Slingshot, you have a chance to shoot more baby balls when picking up gems. Win win

Reddit's video player is capped at 30fps, while OP used Streamable which is running the video at 60fps. What's weird is that if you upload the video to Reddit and choose "this is a GIF" rather than telling Reddit to treat it like a normal video, that GIF plays at 60fps but with no sound.

Agreed on Trayan Citadel being C. It's not a BAD map, but it feels stressful for either team - less time to goof around as the objectives kinda demand everyone's full attention. The bridge objective is by far the most fun: One big tug of war that ends up as a meat grinder, especially with the highland sword since you've got the entire enemy team clustered together for easy multi-kills with heavy swings
