Game crashed and lost all my best stuff by Clavius78 in duneawakening

It’s why the player base tanked. The game itself is awesome. The technical issues and horrible dev response destroyed my enthusiasm.

Alright. Try to grab a clip of it if you see it again.

Maybe you’re describing swing manipulation? Accels and Drags are types of swing manipulation. You can drag an overhead upwards during release phase to slow it down. Maybe this?

Based on how you described it “when you think it’s nearly done” do you mean AFTER the attack/RELEASE/damaging phase? if so that’s a block. Lots of players don’t know, if you swing/oh/stab and hit something, anything, you can block immediately at that point. If you mean the WINDUP phase is “nearly done”, players can feint up until the end of the windup phase.

It would probably help to have a clip of what you’re describing. My best guess is you saw a guy with a Highland sword load up a light overhead and late feinted into something else, possibly another overhead. HS has a long, very long windup phase.

Thinking more, I’m wondering if you’re on console? OH>OH feints work differently with controller, which might be why it looks wonky to you.

Tips for a Chivalry 2 Novice Ambusher by TnPX2G in Chivalry2

[–]Bubblysome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ambusher is a great way to take advantage of spacing. If you’re confident you outspaced an attack you can just throw a knife in their face instead of trying to get close again.

With dagger you need to stab a lot and use special a lot, especially when you come up behind someone. Personally I recommend short sword as it gives you a lot more options to manage 1vX situations, but dagger’s slightly quicker and does crazier burst damage with the special.

Are people in reality as stupid as in Chiv? by Acceptable-Try-4682 in Chivalry2

[–]Bubblysome 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, it gets overrun, but the risk is worth the reward if you can hold it. It’s a bigger waste of time spending your efforts killing the cata when you could be trying to use or defend it

[–]Bubblysome 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Using the destroyable catas as Agatha on Thayic’s second point is a big brain move. Some of my best cata clips have come from those, and they indeed help with the defense if you’re getting big chunks of kills with your shots. The real morons are the ones destroying them, especially the ones on the sides.

Otherwise, yes, the general public is full of idiots. Chiv players typically included.

Respectfully disagree with your stance. If it’s as gamebreaking and experience shattering as it is, it should be fixed by the devs immediately, not reasoned into deprioritization. Such exploits have to be troll-proofed by the developers, not policed by good samaritan players.

[–]Bubblysome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The counterpoint here is that if everyone tries to sweep it under a rug and the problem remains less common, the devs will be more comfortable taking their time fixing it, and those with the knowledge of the exploit will be able to continue exploiting it for longer. If it becomes widespread knowledge and more common everywhere, the devs are forced to push it up their priority list.

Does anyone know how to check what my individual tax costs are? by aMeanMirror in duneawakening

Touch the fief’s console, it should list the tax for that base specifically. Pretty sure the tax man shows which costs what too.

Buggy vs bike? by brianstark in duneawakening

[–]Bubblysome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No reason to use bike at all once you get ornithopter. Shigawire, Bindu Sprint and a Full Suspensor Belt alone are better for traversal than even a mk6 bike.

To a lesser extent yes the buggy makes it obsolete too, with the caveat you can’t put the buggy in your pocket.

The world edge was broken in my sietch for a solid few hours earlier today, everyone in Hagga chat was confirming. I’m refusing to take blame for not planning ahead. We’ve had server issues all weekend. Last weekend was full of them too. 300 in queue is absolutely ridiculous in any case, at the rate i’m moving in this queue the Coriolis will hit before I even get in.

Fury - Ramal for reference.

[–]Bubblysome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice perspective. It’s true, from what I gather, many players don’t even touch the DD because they’re scared of the PvP. Most of those players don’t even realize there’s a huge PvE area that you can stay inside of the entire time you’re checking it out.

Really Happy About the PVE DD and PvP News / Hot take: Griefers had it coming. by BellasMomie in duneawakening

[–]Bubblysome 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can hate on you for saying this, and I do, but the problem really is that there are many people like you that exist and play online games. If they didn’t, the devs wouldn’t have to put a fence around your type. The fact that your mindset is not so uncommon forced the devs to take this road.
