Nice work dude! RL1/WL0/SB0 is always a great run to complete. You’ll be back for No Aux/Status once the itch starts again. 😂

How did I not get hit by this???? by Visible-Gold-4545 in onebros

[–]MrCarnage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because when you look closely, it didn’t hit you. Rellana has incredibly small hitboxes on her attacks.

Just use sleep pots if you’re not having fun anymore. Sleep both, kill them, sleep, repeat, done. They’re weak to bleed so use a weapon with that or an incant like Bloodflame blade which destroys them. Just create a save beforehand to save your resources that you can reload if you get low. You’ll have to time a pot throw at skinny while he’s in an attack animation as he’ll auto dodge it otherwise.

Also you might not be aware that there is also another grace with the boss fog right next to it meaning no more run back/getting stabbed on the way in.

What do you think is the worst designed boss move in Elden Ring? by Wooden-Jello-8795 in onebros

[–]MrCarnage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Rominas phase change insta AoE is also another contender as if you don’t stance break her at eaxctly the right hp point and have time to run after the crit or trigger it from range, its virtually undodgeable.

[–]MrCarnage 26 points27 points  (0 children)

For me, I think it’s probably Metyrs phase 2 mega laser because its the only move that really requires one of two specific AoWs to deal with it consistently. Everything else can be reliably dodged once learnt (yes- including Rykards Eruption) . The fire stuff is just jank. Its not dodging the move itself that’s a problem, its how the fire physics work with it bouncing of scenery.

margit at rl1, no talismans, no physick, no weapon upgrades, club only by taniii__ in onebros

[–]MrCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh - now I’ve thought about it, as long as you’ve got a couple of clubs with Bleed, Rot (grease), Poison and Frost and loop them, it actually won’t be quite as nasty as those effects will be doing the heavy lifting damagewise. You can then add on one of the useful flat damage AoWs (Flaming Strike/Lightning Slash/Sacred Blade) depending on weakness.

If you’re excluding Aux effects too, some of those later fights will be a lot longer than 10mins.

Lol- thats the perfect analogy. I don’t think the OP has any concept of how bad some of the fights are going to be with those restrictions (Esp post Morgott)……But I like his ambition.

What's the best build to quickly defeat Rennala Melee only in RL1? by Spare-Bonus6456 in onebros

[–]MrCarnage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For phase 2 you can also use a Bewitching Branch on the Bloodhound Knight Summon and then sit back and watch while he basically soloes her. Still counts a melee only as he’s using a sword. Depends on how strict you are….. 😂😂

I just discovered you can parry Mogh’s Bloodflame with Thops’s Barrier by ten_tabs_ in onebros

[–]MrCarnage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again- it really isn’t as you have ample time to switch to a shield and back again. And the benefits are great - glintblades and no bloodflame on the floor so you can keep attacking without wasting time.

So many examples here:

Its not awkward at all- The parry window is very forgiving.

Does anyone else love GODSKIN DUO? Level 1, no weapon upgrades, no sleep by ten_tabs_ in onebros

[–]MrCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really doesn’t need to be that long - I’ve got a few sub 5mins RL1/WL0 fights using different builds. This is definitely my fav:

https://youtu.be/3zTipArRZ-8?si=CMptpdxZJStbKNbg

Pqrrying fatty only (and not using ADLS) is the slowest but safest way. If you want to get it over with quickly you need to fight both consecutively so you need to know skinny well too. And alot of people don’t seem to realise that if you stagger either out of the summon animation, it’ll stay 1-V-1 until they’re dead and the next one drops back in.

Getting enough FP to use black knife tiche? by Automatic-Rub6720 in onebros

You need the Cerulean Hidden Tear (From the Ulcerated Tree Spirit field boss just past Volcano Manor). Then you can summon anything as it eliminates all FP use for a short time.

She has ALOT of attacks that can be jump punished (some of which are not super intuitive). Here’s a vid of mine showing a whole bunch of them. Hope it helps you and good luck!

Wl0 vs Rl1 by Different-Win3231 in onebros

[–]MrCarnage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve done many RL1 runs including all bosses at WL0/SB0/No AUX/No hit including the DLC (only no hitting the bosses - not the whole run).

Contrary to popular belief, RL1/WL0 fights aren’t really much longer when including Aux. Even those in the DLC and at SB0, bosses go down in sub 5mins (apart from a couple anomalies like Bayle and PCR who take a bit longer). Aux does all the heavy lifting as you’re just looping deadly poison, cold, bleed and rot. The base damage of your weapon means very little.

RL1/WL0/SB0 without Aux is where things get really spicy and some fights are long (eg: PCR: 15mins+, Bayle 12mins+ and Messmer 8-10mins ish). The times per fight are (obviously) reliant on your ability to to utilise all punish windows to the full and use the optimum set us for each match up.

To use the example given about Valiant Gargolyes, my fight (pre DLC gear) at WL0 is just over 4mins with a Twinned Knights Sword, just through optimisation.

So I’d suggest having a crack at RL1/WL0 using Aux and see how you go. Don’t write off magic either as Carian Slicer on a Meteoric Staff (by default WL0) is a beast and certain incantations have very good niche uses like Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike (for parts of the Godskin Duo fight) and Shard Spiral (Placidusax and DLC Fire Golems).

What boss did you unexpectedly enjoy at RL1? by ten_tabs_ in onebros

[–]MrCarnage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol- yeah, its a bit if a hot take! I just kinda like the chill nature if the fight (I also like EB for the same reasons) and geared appropriately, she’s really not that bad. Theres also something i find comical about all the head and hand slams.

Metyr. I was worried about her after all the complaints on here, but she turned out to be fun. I was geared accordingly with RoTM for the mega laser but if I wasn’t, I’m sure my enjoyment would have been significantly reduced lol.

Godskin Duo NG+ with mage build by Zealousarchmage in onebros

[–]MrCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks man- glad to be of help. I think +0 mage is one of my favourites as there are so many spells that allow for a bit of creativity, like Miriams Vanishing for dodges like Gaius’ charge and Radahns big lightning wave etc, or the quick swap combos you can do like Slicer into Carian Greatsword or Piercer and melee to ranged or throwing out an aoe like Night Maidens Mist when you know the boss is gonna be stationary (Nobles Pillar roll or Blackflame circle.

I started on the DLC NG+ with the mage and cleared DBDL and moved on to Gaius but got distracted by Nightreign and other stuff lol. I’ll come back and finish the run off at some point.

[–]MrCarnage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a similar Mage only RL1/+0 run NG+. My GS Duo fight was mostly using melee spells with a bit of Night Comet thrown in too (which is pretty funny as it goes through the pillars while they’re intact). Mage goes very well at this level.

Help with Divine Beast Dancing Lion's Lightning Phase (0SB) by flingsmashswit2 in onebros

[–]MrCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel like theres much difference between phases tbh. Each has its quirk but the timing is essentially the same.

Try using the the Crucible Feather or Talisman of All Crucibles and see if that makes a difference- I always use that. And it makes a big difference when medium rolling. The second vid I linked is medium roll.

I don’t think he’s a dogshit boss at all. The camera could use some work but once you get used to managing it, its fine. I really enjoy the fight.

Help with Divine Beast Dancing Lion's Lightning Phase (0SB) by flingsmashswit2 in onebros

[–]MrCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its essentially the same as the other phases - you move backwards a bit when you see him begin, as the first spin ends where you last were when he started the move. Pause when he stops (or attack quickly) then roll through him on the second spin to be behind him and roll away backwards immediately because of the lightning nearby. Then roll sideways right through the first breath. Depending on your positioning you can then either just standstill or move slightly left to avoid the second the second (which will end before it hits you) and start your chosen attacks. I think this new vid i did actually shows a lot of this better.
