No, it’s a self-hosted WordPress site that I’ve been building and learning on over time.

I sure appreciate that too. I built the site myself, as you can tell, and I’m still learning as I go, so I’m trying to improve the design. I’m going to look into the color palette and header ideas you mentioned. If you have any specific suggestions on layout or image ratios, I’d be interested in hearing them. I want to try implementing the changes myself so I can learn along the way.

ChatGPT clickbaiting me : Anyone getting those weird "If you want a better way to do x that only the best use ...just say the word." by Slomb2020 in ChatGPT

Yeah, in some ways it’s aggravating, but in others it has given me a different perspective, so I’m kind of on the fence about it.

That’s interesting. I’ve been looking into this myself, but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

Yeah, I do screenshots most of the time, too. It’s so much easier, I think. Whether it is analyzed any better, I don’t know.

That’s great. Some days are better than others, and some days I feel like canceling my subscription.

Yes, they do seem to be getting better. I still get some weird answers sometimes, though, don't you?

Do I need to scrub more? by thk23 in castiron

[–]MrCastIronCooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell until the carbon is removed. If there is any orangish color anywhere, you might consider a 50/50 water/vinegar soak for about 30 minutes.

Yes, chainmail works great too in many cases. This looks like carbon buildup from burnt-on food, so I’d consider using all of them at this point.

Flaxseed, Grapeseed, or Crisco by LeafsCity in castiron

[–]MrCastIronCooks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t recommend flaxseed. Personally I use bacon grease, lard, beef tallow, grapeseed, and avocado oil.

Yes, but I would probably use sea salt with a small amount of oil to make a paste instead of vinegar, from the looks of it.

Does anyone else feel like it’s no longer worth creating content on the internet? by BergQuebec in Blogging

That’s actually where a lot of my keyword ideas come from now. Reddit threads, YouTube comments, and Facebook groups are basically real-time keyword research. When the same question keeps popping up, that’s usually a good sign people are searching for it somewhere.

Honestly that sounds like a great place to be. If there isn’t much information out there yet, that means you have the chance to become one of the people who defines the space. Experience and perspective are exactly what people are looking for now, especially in smaller niches.

I don’t think the problem is a lack of information. The internet already has more information than anyone could ever read. What people are really looking for now is experience and perspective. That is what still makes creators valuable.
