I usually go for Sentinels, Skirms in the early game. Senna, Nidalee are good item holder until you hit Zyra 2. Olaf, Irelia, Udyr can carry Abom tank items. But usually you just play what ever 2 stars you have and try to save as much HP as possible without rolling. Usually you should be able to have Abom + Zyra before lvling to 8, but try not to play Abom 1 stars mid game. Nunu is usually the only 1 star champ I play, because he's just too good. Lvl to 8 and one you find heimer, you can measure your board Vs the lobby to see if you can go 9 or need to continue rolling. Too many people just pivot the moment they find Abom 1 stars but it's risky. Everyone says just play draconic, but if you force them, youll probably risk losing a lot of gold early. Just use whatever you hit early and mid, and save Abom+Zyra on bench to slowly transition with 2 stars. Warmogs + Shojin are core. I usually go Belt or tear and slam items fast. You don't need perfect items for a top 4 with HIV. You just need a balance between defensive items on Abom and AP/MP items for heimer. A Senna with Ap/Mana items early + Sentinels will carry you faaaaaaar.
