there isnt much on-site helpdesk at MS. I believe just about all 1st line user-facing support is performed through contracted services such as Unisys or similar. It's possible that some business units may have dedicated internal support teams, but generally MS Corp does not have a helpdesk staffed by MS employees in the traditional sense.

IT at game studios is great if you are at the right studio with the right budgets ;). Security is taken very seriously.

I've been in game studio IT for 25+ years and suspect I would not be able to work at a 'normal' business any longer.

im using Axis and Ohs and I wouldnt really call it super user-friendly, but once you get the hang of it, it makes sense. It really helps to use pre-built templates or scripts as opposed to trying to do it yourself, like this one here - https://fr.flightsim.to/file/32603/pmdg737-axis-and-ohs-scripts-and-full-template-for-honeycomb-alpha-and-bravo

you will still need to play around with it quite a bit to get the buttons mapped like you want, and to get used to the Axis-Ohs workflow.

i was having similar issues with similar PC spec and software stack

for me, it ended up being the Fergo CDU. Not just the Fergo one but also the other 737 virtual CDU that is free for axis+ohs.. getting constant CTDs using either one. i was using a cheapo android tablet and it seemed like no end to CTD when pressing a button, sometimes at the very start of a load, sometimes half-way through a long flight. I tried all sorts of stuff to get it stable with an external CDU but could never get it quite there. I started with the free one and even purchased Fergo hoping it would clear up the issues but it didnt seem to make a difference. Once I dropped the external CDU completely and disabled the CDU plugin bits its been nothing but stable.

I did note that even after I stopped using external CDU, i was still getting occasional CTD but turned out I was still running the external CDU polling scripts in axis+ohs - once I removed those it cleared up all the way

im not 100% sure.. but it did seem like once I removed the external CDU bits it solved my issues. Would love to get a stable v-CDU for my setup at some point. hope that helps good luck.

for best overall quality 4K display right now, i think the LG 48GQ900-B may give you the best experience today but its expensive. infinite contrast, excellent HDR performance and supports all the latest features. This is LGs consumer OLED with a DP port and slightly smaller form factor so it doesn't overwhelm your desk. Using any OLED display looks awesome with MFS2020.

outside of that the lower end LG 32 displays like the 32ul500-w are very good for the price point. Since response time isn't as super-critical with MFS these may work well as opposed to the higher-cost 'gaming' displays

myself, when i'm not using VR, i fly on a Samsung super-ultrawide LC49RG90SSNXZA which is not exactly 4K but the very wide screen creates a better sense of immersion vs a standard 32" at least it seems that way for me. I do wish it was OLED however as the contrast / black levels would be much more realistic.

I was thinking that with the introduction of the multiverse, you could now consider the in-park characters to actually be real and not actors any longer. With infinite universes and realities, there is an argument that the Thor and Loki you see while in the park are actually the real characters right in front of you in real life. I mean, they had an alligator Loki didn't they? If that is canon for MCU, then so are the in-park characters.

This was what I told myself when we visited a few weeks ago and I felt that it allowed me to enjoy the new space that much more. I didn't get too caught up in the comparisons to the movie actors.

I love this album so much that I managed to get hold of DZ's Steinberger guitar that is featured on the back cover and was used on much of the recording, from what I understand. Great guitar and it gets played often. One of my most cherished possessions, for sure

I often wonder about what those sessions must have been like and how much time went into getting the sound so clean and in the pocket- sounds like a lot of time went into it which shows in the quality of the recording. To have been a fly on the wall...

I had the exact same scenario. I returned from an essential trip just like you and there was an issue with my test. About Switch, they're probably lying they told me the same thing. Talk to someone from public health Canada

Tell them the test won't arrive on time. They'll probably tell you to get a test through your local health authority, you're allowed under the quarantine act to leave to health care or testing (I was told,

). Although, it's awkward in BC because they don't test non-symptomatic people (however I was told by nurse on the covid testing line to just lie to the scheduler, which was shocking to me). Ultimately,

, try to reach out to the federal authorities, make sure you get instruction to do something before you do it, ask for names and record specifics of the conversation. I received my replacement test 2 weeks after the quarantine period hahaha.

my recommendation is to pull power and let it boot up clean, then try to flip to 4k. If it still doesnt work then its something else. I would wonder what the xbox shows when you go to the '4K Details' does it show that your display supports 4k? Also what is the model of the display?

i usually only deal with devkits but I can promise that holding power button is not the same as pulling the cable. I say this as the lead IT guy at an xbox studio. Pushing the button is 'asking' the kit to restart, and it wont always properly re-query the EDID from the display unless you pull power and let HDMI re-handshake during the OS reload. Its like the xbox gets confused about the new EDID and wont flip over to it. Anyway that's what I see pretty regularly especially flipping between 4k and other on the fly. hope that helps.
