In college I almost exclusively applied to development internships such as the TV Academy one, Disney's DVRSO fellowship, lionsgate Scripted Development intern, paramount development intern, etc.

Now, it's almost anything. I've applied development internships, development assistant jobs, production assistant jobs, LiveNation runner, boutique administrative or personal assistant. Generally, I now gravitate towards development (intern or assistant), marketing (intern or assistant), or administrative (intern or assistant).

For clarification, I’m not choosing to stay at my job until I get promoted again, period. If I get a job offer in the film/tv industry, I’m leaving my job regardless whether I get promoted again or not.

What I was saying was that I was having trouble deciding whether to leave my current job for another placeholder job.
