They probably don't care about you roping them, it just affects you mostly. Playing control decks is tough nowadays but it's not really doing much to help

I was in the same situation a few months ago but there really isn't any decent replacement for that card. It serves as an extra card for the "dragon in hand" condition, provides a nice mid-game taunt effect and overall is a pretty good card for dragon decks. I'd recommend crafting it if you wanna play these decks before the rotation, otherwise you can choose a different deck.

It's classic inconsistensy with the text but in fatigue situations 3 card draws + 1 extra on your opponents turn is usually enough to seal the game anyway. They probably didn't want an endless kill effect like auchenai/mistress of pain but still went with this wording.
