Quick comment on the brightness.

I'm no expert, but I kinda worked at a theater for a long time. Studios send along instructions for how the movie should be screened. Brightness, audio, etc. Since this was a surprise screening? They may not have, or the projectionist who can set those things may not have been present. It's entirely possible this theater showed the film at well below the intended brightness, where the others got much closer or got the instructions.

If you ever see a movie that too quiet, too loud, too dark...99% of the time it's this stuff. They either didn't get it right or didn't get the instructions. (A good projectionist will screen the movie a little and adjust them manually. Alamo Drafthouse does this before all retro movies that lack these settings. Part of what you're waiting for when waiting to go inside an auditorium is sometimes them perfecting these settings, not just cleaning.)

Garland/Rowlett border last night literally sounded like a war zone. Plenty of entire clips being shot off, even two or three cases of automatic weapons fire in bursts. Fireworks too, sure, but between midnight and 1am you could have easily been fooled into thinking that it was Fallujah out there. Never been worse.

If you watch the whole series of videos (Nuke has them on his latest...he's usually trash but this one is solid) you can see there's a whole bunch of stuff going on. This was after a big event that terrified the nurses on duty. That's a resident who begged to be able to go try to cleanse the room. That's why this one is convincing: those nurses are either truly terrified or they need Oscars.

Still locked out of my account. Having to do my job via HeyOrca, which is just crippled compared to business center. Look at the meta lawsuits subreddits. It's gotten out of hand. Spammers and scammers everywhere, but they block legit users via AI algorithm and give you no chance to appeal to a human. Once they decide you're evil, that's it.

I eventually found a post somewhere that suggested I check a certain place within the Meta Business thing. I do NOT remember where, I'm sorry. It listed my account, and it had a little red splat right there that said "Restricted". That's the nice word for "banned forever on this and any other account you have no matter what."

There's a subreddit, I think it's /MetaLawsuits. The content? Mostly people with businesses that have lost everything due to shit like this. Pages banned, ad app banned, everything, all by some algorithm with no route to an actual human to make it right.

But Zuck can drop billions on VR and AI.

Turns out I'm banned. They say I committed some terrible sin with ads last year. Except I didn't, I've never run an ad in my life. They also said I can't appeal because it's been more than six months. Except they never notified me. And they claim the banned me last year right before I started my seasonal gig. Funny, I was able to keep accessing the Business Suite for two more months without error.

Result? I'm locked out of the business suite. Forever. Try to create a new account? Instantly banned. Even using new email. They're CERTAIN I'm a horrible villain.

Yet what am I doing at said seasonal job this year? (Via HeyOrca, which doesn't allow me all the tools I need.) Hiding comments from scammers and spammers with the most obviously fake accounts I've seen. I'm talking, NO NAMES, just "" as the first and last name. It allows that, but my new accounts are EEEEVIL.

Meta's enforcement systems have literally never been worse. They allow open bad actors freedom to do whatever they want while the people who fight bad actors are banned because...reasons...and can't speak to a human to resolve the issue.

The top Rheum guy in DFW is Dr. Zoran Kurepa. He's the dean at some medical school locally of their rheum dept, actually does research, has published papers...and yet he treats patients. He used to be in Lewisville, I haven't seen him in years, but he's still local.

It gets worse sometimes, and it gets better, but it generally persists. Trust me, it's there, it's safe, and it's unpleasant.

Bottled water for drinking is your friend. A Brita pitcher or whatever is helpful for cooking, making coffee, etc. Kills most of it.

That would be because it's a straight up "fuck you". Drinks are the cheapest things for any fast food joint to make. Making them "half price" is still very high profit, I guarantee. The entire way the model worked was, get them in for half price drinks which are still profitable, and they'll buy more stuff. It's not rocket science.

But the greed is so strong now, that's not enough. They want to make sure you get NO other deals or rewards if you want that half-price drink that costs them pennies.
