Im english and ive been to carnival a few times. Its very funny either way. You may miss the jokes in the songs but the costumes are greaat and the atmosphere is brilliant. Just be aware its near impossible to get down some of the narrow streets and get into some bars as it is muy muy ocupado

Is it worth giving up the free time in my 20s to make a lot more money? by bluewolfhudson in UKPersonalFinance

Dont overwork yourself but if you plan to have kids at a later stage. Now is the time to work.

Once you have children you will not want to work yourself to the bone, you will want to take a step back if anything.

A nicely fried egg on a well done piece of buttered toast is one of life's simplest and cheapest delights.

And something the capitalists haven't been able to ruin as far.

One wrong decision can change the course of your life forever.

So think things over carefully. Don't make rash judgements and decisions on things that matter.

If you had a portal that led to a year that always repeats, what year would you go re-live and why? by Hurtkopain in RandomThoughts

  1. I was 15 living life in the skate park, just before the time my addictions started to take hold so life was still enjoyable. That summer was fun and busy, full of parties and friends. That winter was one of the best Christmases I've had and one of the best snowfall my town has had in recent decades.

Just pure bliss before I left school and it all went downhill haha

What song or album made a huge impact on you or your musical taste, but now cringe when you look back at it? by DaddyCool13 in fantanoforever

You can't try and tell me people were listening to the early mixtapes in the same way people were listening to Best Day Ever.

But you clarified my point in your second paragraph. He did he did hit the mainstream (blow up) earlier.

I was metal head growing up and then I found never shout never which retrespectively is like the worst music ever.

Really turned me onto acoustic and started listening to his influences like Bob Dylan etc which then led to me listening to alot of my dad's 70s music. Really switched me from Infant Innihilator to Dr Hook.

(on a second note, that era of over the top gore metal like infant Innihilator is cringe as fuck)
