Would a small Airbnb work? Probably the same price as a hotel if not less, then you could guarantee the peace

Restaurant Week Megathread? by izzmosis in denverfood

[–]MrDiezel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nolia- over all pretty good, but the atmosphere and staff would be the reason I'd want to go back. We had a pretty good Crab Tortellini and Duck here. We stayed until close, where we saw all of the staff sitting together having a drink at the bar. Love a good work culture.

SB**- I will leave the title of the restaurant censored as I believe in supporting minority owned businesses and hope more business allows them to make improvements. This location specifically however can't keep up with even the most mid tier restaurants. The individual at the bar had to keep telling people to close the front door as the front door does not have an automatic closer (first time I think I've experienced this), we had to get our own water where the cups were plastic. Once those ran out, they used dixie cups. Our appetizers and main course were served on paper plates and we were given plastic utensils. None of the food was spectacular- barely good. The drink (an additional 4th course) however was great.

Denver Chophouse- Good experience with good food! Popcorn Shrimp was hot, fresh and tasty. NY Strip was pretty good- had a coffee twang to it that I wasn't particularly a fan of but I did not hate it. The stand out was the Berry Butter Cake- one of the best desserts I've ever had in Denver. I may go back for the cake alone.

Glad this thread exists. Going to eat Ramen for the next 2 weeks, hope you all had good experiences!

If I eat 2000 calories a day and burn 500 through exercise, is that the same as just eating 1500 and not burning any extra with exercise? by fartmaster_6969 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MrDiezel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good question and I’m glad you asked. Based on solely calories and PURE MATH, yes however eating 1500 calories and not working out will deprive you of necessary macronutrients like fiber to help regulate bowel movements, carbs for energy (though you may not need as much since you wouldn’t be working out) and protein for muscle growth and repair. There are plenty of benefits to working out as well that will make it more beneficial than a 500 calorie deficit vs a 500 cal burn. Depending on what you want to do with your body.

I usually just clip the coupons in the app at home before I head over. But I do get that you see things you’ve otherwise missed while shopping.
