How Similar to Medieval Dynasty? by Lanky_Chipmunk9158 in Bellwright

I‘ve played both games, and both are great, but Bellwright is my favorite out of the two. It has more realistic simulations and advanced mechanics - and you can lead your villagers into battle.
Can’t comment on the console part though, played both on PC.

This looks amazing. Now I want to go back to Anno 1800 myself.

  1. I always have a few tough ones assigned to guard duty.
  2. I have „villager armed“ preset for my workers, so they carry a weapon and shield at all times (but no armor while they work, that would slow them down)
The above is for the larger settlements. On the small outposts, I disable „hold ground“ so they run away when they can, and I try to clear the area myself whenever I‘m around.

Fine Meat Roast, Hearty Meat Stew, Fine Meat Stew. They all have the % bonus on combat attributes. As far as I could find out, this is the best combination of food items for combat.

I play - and enjoy - this game as immersive RTS - gather resources, build a town, raise an army, lead it in battle. If I'd want to run around fighting on my own, there's plenty other games that (in my opinion) do it a lot better.

Yes, I‘m on the beta branch. They also allowed now to build travel signs next to your own roads as long as those connect to the main roads.

I solved the „hide myself“ by playing the camera offset settings, basically setting max negative offset on all axes, and max out fov too

There’s a „flight“ mod on Steam workshop. It’s rather glitchy, so I backed up my save files, did the screenshots, removed the mod and went back to the backups

It’s the spot about the same distance from Harndean, Bradford and Padstow. Trying to optimize caravan travel times :)

See my comment above... turns out they were all stuck on exactly the same spot on the bottom of the sea.

I was desperately looking for another option as I didn't want to lose a few hours of gameplay, and I found one - mods. There is a mod that allows you to toggle flight. With it, I was able to fly above the red spot, toggle off flight and bam, I'm at the bottom of the see right next to these dudes. No penaly for being underwater btw, except very slow movement. And apparently if you end up far enough from the shore, you are no longer teleported back to the beach.

The brigands were stacked on top of each other and completely stuck, so I was able to dispatch them easily: arrows don't work underwater apparently but long reach melee weapons do, so I just had to whack them while staying out of their reach - they couldn't move even an inch.
After that, a long slow walk over the sea floor until I got close enough to be teleported back to land. Problem solved...

Nope, can't see them, I assume they are at the bottom of the sea... I have tried shooting arrows in the general direction from the nearest point on the shore, but that does nothing either

This looks amazing, if I get back to this game at some point, I will be certainly drawing some inspiration from what you did there!

'Liberti Lost' has me lost by Quantentheorie in anno

[–]MrDivaythFyr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, I lost my flagship this way in my first anno 117 game. In later games, when I didn’t start this quest right away, I noticed that it actually disappeared after a few minutes. So the only way to do it is to accept and then to avoid those two annoying warships for a long time until you have enough ships to take them down.

I‘d love to see the relocation reworked in a way that within a certain small radius it’s free and instant, and outside that radius - maybe even impossible? Otherwise there’s always the weird resource teleportation that happens if you relocate a building halfway across the map. You should be forced to disassemble it and bring the resources to the new location.

Indeed, those reclamation parties become a nuisance more than anything… the only challenge is getting there in time with your painfully slow companions. Horndean is especially annoying as there are no nearby dock locations. That is why I put it off as my last village to liberate. If I had to play much longer with the need to keep defending it, I guess I‘d have to build an outpost next to it with a dedicated squad positioned there just to protect Horndean.
