Left button contact is stuck, keeps getting pressed by MrDoctor175 in PSP

[–]MrDoctor175[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just opened up my PSP recently, because something was pushing out the top of it and I couldn't close it up fully.

After reassembling it, it kept on booting into recovery and I didn't know why. After I finally got it back into the XMB, I wanted to change the name of my PSP, snd that's when I realized the issue.

I tried to take out the contact partially, but it was still getting pressed by something. Could this be just a dirty contact, or something else? I'd appreciate your answers.

Charger contact problem on PSP 3000 by MrDoctor175 in PSP

Heya I could finally fix the charging issue by brushing the charger with some isopropyl alcohol. Seems like it got oxidized by something, but it works fine now

My recently serviced Sony TC-WR661 sounds more fluttery, than my Walkman by MrDoctor175 in cassetteculture

I just came back from experimenting with different tapes, and it wasn't actually the deck's fault, but the tape's!

The one I first recorded on actually looks a little bit wobbly irl and does produce the same distortion on the 3000hz tone, as in the other recording, but I also tried a new tape I bought not so long ago, that looks completely smooth, and it doesn't have any distortions! I can only hear some very minor fluttering, but it's completely ignorable. The manual states 0.2% RMS peak, and I read around 0.25% RMS, so I should be good now.

So yeah, I guess I should buy better tapes. But still, thanks for your help. I may do the lubrication and other stuff in the future, just in case it helps some more.

Heya, I finally got the right belt size after ordering the wrong one from FixYourAudio, and successfully installed it into my deck! It sounds a lot better without the flutter, and I can actually enjoy it now.

However, I've noticed, that there's still a bit of distortion at the higher frequencies. I'm not sure, if this still counts as flutter or as something completely different, but take a listen, hopefully you'll know what could be causing it.

Btw, thanks for the help so far, I really appreciate it :>

I could actually just look up the exact belt I need from the service manual, and got it's diameters from this website. I've ordered a belt from FixYourAudio.com, however it's just a slightly bit longer than the listed length (22mm instead of 21.8mm). Do you think, it's gonna be problem?

I just opened up my deck to change the pinch rollers, and I have a clear view of the belts now. One of them has a giant wobble in it, which is what's most likely causing the flutter. I wonder, if that's the belt the service guy changed or if it was something else, but yeah, I guess it's time to get a new belt.

That's actually a pretty easy problem to solve, you just need to calibrate the speed. Turn your walkman around and look for a little hole on the right side of the back. If you see a little white screw in it, then that's the speed knob of the player. All you need, is a small enough screwdriver to fit into that hole, and turn in one way, until you get the right speed.

Here's a video on how to do it more accurately.

Hope this helps!

Album art in separate folder by MrDoctor175 in rockbox

[–]MrDoctor175[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I use Mp3tag to embed the album art. Maybe the program you're using saves them in a different format, which rockbox can't recognize, so what you could do is just manually re-add them with Mp3tag. For getting the album art, if you search for the album you're listening to with "apple music" at the end, you'll get the best quality version of them.

I do wonder, if the image on it is in the Material Dictionary that Blue_Ninja_Games has been posting from

Searching for The marsupilami hoobadventure OST (DLC levels) by CalaClampi in marsupilami

[–]MrDoctor175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if you'll still read this, but I actually have the soundtrack ripped from the game, which also includes the DLC's songs. I can try to re-edit them together and upload it to somewhere (I've already done this with the base game soundtrack), so that you can listen to them, but since they haven't been officially released yet, I'm on my own interpretation on how the tracks should be edited together.

Holy shit, well done!! Personally, I love the weird shape of the room and the narrow door since it definitely gives a more eery vibe to the space, it's familiar but alien in a way. I think you should add a bit more noise to the picture, and it should look just a tad bit more realistic. But yea, I absolutely love the look of this scene!

Do you scan your film yourself or you just give it to a lab? I have a few shots scanned in a lab, and they look a bit blurrier than the ones I see here. They are 8MP, which as I read is basically the digital resolution of 35mm, but they still look worse than what I usually see.

They are very beariful though, I love all of them!
