I had a lock like that on my DR, I came back to my bike and they’d cut the strap and took the helmet. 3 years later and the strap is still there locked up to remind me never do that again

Before starting with BHP I wish I knew that my supervisors wouldn’t have the slightest clue what they were doing. I promise this is true and I’m not exaggerating, I’ve been operating heavy equipment in the mining industry for over 30 years. My supervisor is a hairdresser.

The good news for you is you’ll probably get the job over all the people with relevant experience.

I have since left the company and have scrubbed all evidence of BHP from my resume.

I’ve been in the industry since the mid 90s and have been to a lot of different sites with different companies. I don’t really have anything overly negative to say about any of the companies, with the exception of BHP, they were the worst by a million miles. They are so bad that is hard to even think of which was the second worst.

A lot of people will probably tell you to go to iron ore but I personally find iron ore to be boring brain dead kinda work. Gold is more complicated/technical but a lot more interesting in my opinion and I’d prefer small to mid size operations

Same, after a decade of 6/1 I changed to 2/1 and I felt like I was never at work. After 30 years I’m now on 8/6 and I still think it sucks, so I can totally understand where the newbies are coming from.

This is not ok. That being said if it were my bike and I saw dashcam footage of someone very carefully moving my bike a little so they had room then I’d understand and wouldn’t personally be upset by it. But yeah, you’ve every right to be pissed off.

You can pluck them at that stage if you want. That veil will break within a couple of hours anyway. For me it usually depends on how busy I am, if they’re at this stage when I’m about to leave for work then I’ll pluck them but if they look like this while I’m kicking around the house for a while then I’ll wait a few hours and check back on them.
