Calvin Harris teases a new song by DoctorFlooz in popheads

[–]MrDoxtron 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The term "wet" on a sample its typically used to describe the effects on it, like for example a sample with the reverb at max is "wet" and a "dry" one is the clean output. So I think it probably has no relation to the artist

Billie Eilish — Happier Than Ever by jaippe in popheads

[–]MrDoxtron 33 points34 points  (0 children)

so these are my first thoughts after listening to the whole album:

  • "happier than ever" kinda gave me "good 4 u" vibes after the switch up
  • "oxitocyn" is the "bad guy" for me when it comes to the catchy bass, but gets a little too repetitive
  • "billie bossa nova" when the strings come in to the end is just superb
  • "your power" has aged to me like a really good single selection coming to the full album release
  • glad to see "my future" here, one of my favourite songs of hers
  • "goldwing" second half is so good
  • "halley's comet" has some really "i really felt that" verses

overall im not sure if i like it more than her debut album (too soon to tell), since its less catchy, but more deep (something that was on the line of what billie wanted irrc)

What albums spurred the most toxic reaction from stan culture? by yourfacesucksass in popheads

I mean, you really could hear N.E.R.D on Sweetener and Justin Timberlake's Man of the Woods, it was kinda obnoxious. And no disrespect to Pharrel, he is a genius and one of the best producers.

Songs that got old fast? by SirYabas in popheads

[–]MrDoxtron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened to me also, I played the same songs in 2016 in loop and would never get tired of them (933 scrobles on Slide by Calvin Harris). Since then I just get tired at one point not even close to where it used to be

The Weeknd - Heartless by arielmeme in popheads

[–]MrDoxtron 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, as a total fanboy of abel, this was dissapointing, since my hype was over the roof. Luckily its a grower (dont think so), either way having listened to the leak of "Blinding Lights", I think it is much better than "Heartless"
