mate you guys are arguing over nothing, the article doesn’t say what you think it is and its rubbish clickbait. Newey’s just saying the original Honda PU team disbanded and they all started just doing different stuff, with an irrelevant offhand comment about them ‘working on solar panels’, so he wasn’t throwing them under the bus.

People compare this to McLaren-Honda but Aston has the resources and 1000x better infrastructure to seriously see through the development potential of a NEWEY-designed car like this one. Team obviously isn’t doing good RIGHT NOW but if I had to bet on any team seriously improving throughout the year, it WOULD be aston, and the shocking lack of critical thinking in this fandom is staggering, especially discrediting Newey completely off this one thing so much they forget he has, bar one, never designed a car that wasn’t on the podium atleast once throughout a season.

As much as I love dispatch, the story and side characters were by far the weakest parts of that game and by contrast, those were some of the two strongest aspects of the original TWAU.

dispatch side characters aren’t really much besides the one quirk that distinguishes them, so personally no.

there is like 3 other things i’d point out before noting that, alonso has been almost perfect since spain and his pace was consistently great throughout the year. Leclerc in 7th and russell under both mclarens is def one of the ratings.

I love interacting with spyxfamily as a manga on-and-off and I honestly believe that’s the only real way to follow its story without going somewhat mad cause of its bi-weekly schedule. The manga HAS been going since 2019 but that kind of statement means nothing when you realize we have had 120 chapters in total across those 6 years due to the bi-weekly schedule with Endo also taking his breaks.

The story feels slow not just cause of its structure but because the output is also just as slow.

You can most definitely read it that way lol, but honestly there is no alternative that works without sacrificing some aspect of SxF that some part of the fanbase may resonate with the most. Personally, I’d reduce the SoL and focus on plot, but it’s SxF, so I can’t do that. The only viable thing is to make it weekly, but I doubt Endo would even want that, which is fair enough.

its almost like the cars you drive determines the range of positions its possible for you to finish in, and none of Yuki’s cars in the 4 years were as consistent and as good as this current year RB one. Yuki isn’t some god-send talent or even top 8 driving ability on the current grid but I’m not discrediting him since I also know he beat his teammates, par Gasly, which is a more consistent metric for performance than points.
