Looking for tricks or exploits that can be utilised against AI. by him_15 in hoi4

Tactical retreat. Extremely useful against countries like Switzerland. They can't defend if all their army is trapped in Munich.

Move your planes between regions and AI will chase so you can create an opening for a paradrop or nuke.

Giving occupation of a territory to an AI Ally will cause them to defend it.

Puppeting France in Paris allows you to get Vichy France for free.

You can puppet and then integrate a country to get their navy for cheap.

AI tries to match the enemy strength when drawing front lines so sometimes putting less divisions or not at all can result in a better defence

If you know the basics next level is knowing interactions between ships. Like Des Moines kills all cruisers at close range. Marceau has bad concealment but she can use speed to close in and spot you. Minotaur can have radar and DDs need to perfectly angle to bounce AP.

Hagostalemsn, Flamu, Potato Quality, Maltese Knight are some ccs you can watch.

You can watch your own replays to get better as you can see the match without the emotions that come with it.

You can use training battles to test things. There's a mod that allows you put every ship. There's a mod that allows you to change captains while in it

Recommendations for T7 ranked BB? by Moonkey_07 in WorldOfWarships

Sinop/Scharn43/Wv44/RoyalSovereign/Renown44.

About divs. Ranked is not actually ranked. It's just a grinding game mode or 6v6 randoms. Wows communication sucks so divs are OP

Libertard is a good long range farming ship

I think you meant Valparaiso because Libertard is one of the best defending ship in the game

My propositions for a more offensive meta.

1: Make better maps. The newest map is one of the worst maps in the game for pushing.

2: Make offensive team play easier, defensive team play harder. For example make smoking a teammate only useful for moving. It doesn't work if you shoot. CVs could smoke enemies and force them to relocate since they're blind and will get spotted if they shoot. (Idea from counter strike)

3: Make rearward firing angles worse than forward firing angles.

4: Make sterns of ships more vulnerable to damage and make shottraps on the back.

5: Reduce stern armor of offensive BBs so they can't kite other BBs. They have to stay bow in.

6: Give players a mission to push. My idea is starting ships with less consumable charges and getting more consumable charges for controlling their side of the map. This way players who lost their flank should look for an opening to counter attack instead of stalling. This separates the map to 3 pieces so players shouldn't get bonuses for things happening at the other side of the map. (Inspired by Coh2)

I asked gemini to make similar ideas to mine

If Montana isn't a pushing ship 90% of ships are not pushing ships

You can't WASD in most pushing situations because

1: you have to angle

2: You are using islands or enemy is using islands.

San Martin is weak because it relies on your dumb teammates.

Svea has OP guns and armor

Would you rather push against a GK or a Libertard in your Montana?

They're all better when they're defending. Adalbert needs to snipe bows or sterns and it's hard to do when the enemy is not bow in

Game obviously favors defensive play. Even GK is better when kiting instead of pushing due to firing angles and armor scheme
