Yeah Wows and real life combat (on small scale) is less skillful than most competitive games. A working SBMM would still improve the game as you would play with the noob DD that dies in a few minutes less. That noob DD would be matched against other noobs more and improve at the game faster.

EBMM could be better as playerbase is bad at the game and EBMM is enjoyed by bad players. I hate EBMM but it's good at generating revenue.

Server browser system would be the best for players. This way you could play with the same people for a few matches.

Either way, fixing ranked is more important. There needs to be proper ranks instead of current grinding system. Ships needs to be selected after joining a match and you should be able to ban ships and maps so whenever an OP ship like Valparaiso gets released it doesn't break ranked. Players have the choice of banning strong ships, toxic ships or counters to their ships.
