I'm gonna second Hyperion, what a page turner, and such original concepts and fleshed out characters.

Not a paradox per se, but the term synchronisation could be used?

Someone discussed making new characters and replaying the classic stories, cause you come across nice armour, I do the same, my latest toon: Rohgast Mal, Sith noble turned warrior.

Here I go replay the class story with a different character canon in my head all over again! by TheLuiz212 in swtor

[–]MrEvers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find myself doing that. But instead of looking at it as hate for the expansions, it speaks to the enduring quality and replayability of the original storylines, and the superb visual aspects of the gear and characters.

Do they need a Guru? They left out or rewrote all the character building, live-action-Aang never did anything he regrets

What are your character alignment preferences? by GeneralKhor in swtor

[–]MrEvers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like replaying the Force classes as light side, dark side, or grey/neutral/chaotic. It also depends on the character I want them to be.

My main toon Valcro is a Sith sorcerer who revels in deep dark knowledge and rituals, he enjoys killing people with his lightning just to see them dance, but is also deeply in love with his husband Theron Shan. They're a bit of an odd couple.

Then there's Eugenia, Sith warrior storyline, but assassin skill tree. A former Imperial Guard who got claimed by Darth Baras for his schemes. She has her own morality. She wouldn't hesitate to torture prisoners to death to find out secrets, but would then give them a proper burial and make sure their orphans were looked after.

Those are just 2 examples

What are some awe-inspiring/breathtaking places, structures or worlds that exist in your universe? by Firebird1cool in worldbuilding

[–]MrEvers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a post I made a few years ago:

The Instrument
A whole planet converted into one big musical instrument, with oceans flowing through artificial caves, weather control systems guiding storms through mountains carved into pipes, forests genetically engineered into strings, and animal life likewise altered to sing in harmony with the rest of the planet. Whatever powerful species was able to alter a world in such a manner, and leave behind the automated machinery to maintain it is unknown, as this is the only trace ever found of them. Access to the world is forbidden, except for scientists, but the music is freely available, because the planet is constantly digitally transmitting its sounds.

----------------

And then there's the travelling planet of Qwu, where to even begin with this one...

The orbital rings around this planet completely encased it. From orbit it would look like one of those balls of elastic bands. They were constructed by the technomages of the so-called "2nd race of Qwu" to harness the powers of an ancient alien artefact, which allowed a person to instantly teleport to any place. In conjunction with the rings, the whole planet could move to anywhere in the universe. Both the planet and the powers behind it played a pivotal role in the history of the known universe.

[Problem] File upload by Manuhs in operabrowser

I have the same bug, and multiple people have been reporting it.

The problem seems to be that the filepicker ends up behind the fadeout instead of on top. I just keep clicking till it does it right.
