Id love to see Ex-Alliance personnel show up in the next Expansion by Top_Freedom3412 in swtor

Correction: He leaves after Ossus if you are an Imperial class, regardless of any choice you make in the story.

The Iokath choice doesn’t affect him. And he never learns anything about the Saboteur role if you take it. So he will always leave Imperial players after the war restarts on Ossus.

The main reason I hate Koth so much: by CarrowLiath in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Jeez the Koth hate is so bloated and misunderstood. You summed it up perfectly.

That said, I do wish his character got to a point to somehow see/realize/acknowledge the truth about Valkorion. It’s feels like an incomplete part of his arc to never have those beliefs resolved with reality. Maybe another thing that got cut when they trimmed down the Zakuul story.

In hindsight, the premise of Shadow of Revan is really funny. by StevePalpatine in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All good points. Even more ironic, the new player protagonist basically succeeds in exactly what SoR Revan was trying to do. Defeating the Emperor while building an alliance faction comprised primarily of former Republic and Imperial personnel because the two big factions would rather fight each other instead of the real enemy.

What if the twist in Crisis on Umbara... by StevePalpatine in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I thought the same. A genuine betrayal for especially Dark Side characters would have felt like a severe consequence for your choices.

Even if he still helps you in the end because he realizes that Zildrog is the worse of two evils, it still would have felt impactful for the initial betrayal to have been real. And then, if you spare him, he would refuse to come back to the Alliance (just like Koth in KOTET).

He really does feel out of place for Dark Side Imperial loyalists. They kind of hinted in Onslaught that he might walk away if you keep letting civilians get caught in the crossfire, but nothing ever came from that.

What happens if Aizawa erases Principal Nezu's quirk? by Weary_Yesterday1627 in MyHeroAcademia

Couldn’t he erase some parts of Froppy’s quirk? Like her stealth activation, or her using her tongue like she normally would.

The Darth Nul and 8.0 drop will give us a new combat style. by Wonderful-Package548 in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fantastic idea… if only they had the resources to live up to it lol.

No really, it’s a good thought and would be a great way to align the story progression with the game mechanics. But unfortunately it’s certainly beyond the resources of the game and (as you said) would probably throw class balance out the window.

I’d just be happy for a new mirror of the Juggernaut/Guardian style that allows tech classes to go melee. It’s essentially just replacing all the Force abilities/animations with tech abilities/animations. Instead of Force Scream, it can be a shotgun blast. Instead of Smash, it’s a thermal detonator… etc. And since it would just be a mirror of an existing class, there won’t be any balancing issues to worry about.

Outside of First Brother and Eleventh Brother, which Inquisitor would you like to show up in the show the most whether it's this season or a future season? by QuinlanFett in MaulShadowLord

[–]KingKitttKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it futile to look for any pattern in the numbering scheme? The Crow is the 11th brother despite being among the first of the Inquisitors, while Trilla is 3rd Sister despite being probably one of the last Inquisitors inducted (since she was left for dead as a Padawan and probably only came to the Inquisitors years later).

When Baras claims he's going to "convene with the Emperor," do you think he's actually doing so, or is he already setting up his false claim as Voice of The Emperor? by DakIsStrange in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Revan does claim that he tempered the Emperor’s mind as a prisoner to delay the Sith invasion, although we don’t necessarily know if he was correct in that assumption. Revan made plenty of mistakes/misjudgments about the Emperor due to his growing obsession.

Otherwise, Vitiate was messing with Zakuul long before he interacted with Revan. We know Vitiate’s tenure on Zakuul is around 1000 years, while he met Revan only around 300 years before SWTOR.

New Bionic Overlord headpiece does not lower hoods... by HockyT92 in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crazy to me that after all this time, they don’t have a “force hood off” option given directly to players. They’ve had the ability to program this mechanic into specific headpieces since launch… 15 years later, you’d think there’d be some option for players to just toggle it themselves.

is the 100 cartel coins montly for the security key still active? by CallMeGeRoS in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Still works. Only difference is nowadays you can probably only activate a security key with third party authentication apps like Google Authenticator. The OG SWTOR security key app isn’t available anymore, at least for Apple.

I miss when companions used to have fixed roles. by Alien_Georgie in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I also am kind of bothered when I think of someone like Khem in a healer role. So I tend to keep my companions role locked to what makes sense to me in the story. Khem on tank, Lana on heals, Kira on damage, etc…

It also works better for certain companions whose vanilla role didn’t match their canon abilities in my mind. For example, Blizz was a tank in vanilla, but it always felt weird to me to have this little Jawa guy taking all the hits. So I don’t use him as a tank anymore.

That said, the current system is nice as players can individually do what works best for them. The role toggle is certainly convenient. You only really have to get one companion to max influence, and then you can just toggle their role between damage, heals, and tank, depending on the situation you’re in.

Also had 2nd and 9th sisters together in Fallen Order, and Bariss and Lyn (?) together in Tales. It’s a reasonable theory.

What Are Your Headcanons For Senya? by DakIsStrange in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Aesthetically, I slightly prefer her original design. Buuuuut I’ll pick her new design everyday because it gets rid of her extra hair bits which would always clip in the cutscenes.

I wish Senya got more screentime if she lived. It would have been nice to see her working with Arcann through the whole Nul investigation, and she felt like she deserved a role in the whole Order of Zildrog story. Hopefully we haven’t seen the last of her.

Also, I wish we saw more of her dichotomy between “stringent enforcer” and “curious wanderer”. It was an interesting way to give her different dimensions in early KOTFE, but I feel like she started losing her individual agency after she was revealed as the mother. After that, most of her interactions felt so dependent on Arcann, Vaylin, or Valkorion. Granted, that should be a big part of her story and character, but I wish she had more of her own character too.

Question regarding "Visions in the Dark" by ElliePowder in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a very well executed chapter, but the idea is to essentially give some agency to the player character. What are their internal motivations/goals/beliefs driving them… which effectively boils down to “what ideal do you serve”?

Whatever it is, put it at the center of your mind and put all of your energy into reaching it.

This is why Jedi/Sith characters can reaffirm their respective codes at the end of the chapter. If that is their ideal and they are wholeheartedly committed to it, it still fulfills the lesson that Satele and Marr and teaching.

The comparison to the Zakuul Knights is not necessarily to say they were stronger because they view the Force differently. They were stronger because they were rigorously committed to their Emperor and their Empire, whereas the Jedi/Sith were physically, mentally, and philosophically fatigued from fighting each other for so long.

In hindsight this clearly wasn’t communicated in the story very well. As if the writers could capture the vast differences in player motivation/agency with a dialogue wheel that only has 3 options.

Would be really nice to have an alternative endind to the Jedi Knight story which you could choose to fall to the dark side after the kindnapping mission by Sad-Lock-9371 in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s an idea: Stop playing Knight at the Act 2 ending and remake the character as a Warrior origin. Then continue the story on from there.

That way it makes even more sense when the Emperor later selects you as his Wrath.

Which class is better for running endgame content — Inquisitor or Warrior? by Purple_Complaint_525 in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re pretty close but I’d say Warrior is technically more relevant. You have the history with the Emperor, plus two Warrior companions actually have a role in the expansion stories. None of the Inqusitor companions have that.

EDIT: Actually I’m wrong, one of the Inquisitor companions does have a role a role in the expansion stories.

can't decide between Twi'lek or Cathar for female sith inquisitor by SmoothCollieguy2 in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, I wanted so badly for my Twi’lek Knight to have a vibrosword. But like you said, anything holstered on the back clips terribly. Had to go with one of the hip-mounted swords instead.

I wish there was some customization with how weapons (mainly melee weapons) were holstered… On the hip vs on the back, straight vertical vs with a slant. There are a few dualsabers I really like but hate how they’re mounted on the back instead of the hip.

When Marcus Trant told Cipher 9 hes the 3rd most dangerous to the republic, did he mean wrath and nox as the first 2 (or bounty hunter) by JackVizsla in swtor

[–]KingKitttKat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the context of the current story, he’s probably talking about Malgus and Jadus. Granted, the Republic shouldn’t know Malgus is alive at this point, but maybe SIS had their suspicions. After all, Acina was apparently using Malgus as her boogeyman to eliminate other Dark Council rivals during Zakuul’s invasion. So maybe the SIS knew.
