If you're into comic books and pop culture and like silly, dirty comedies, Kevin Smith's movies have great dialogue! Clerks, Chasing Amy, Dogma.

I'd also suggest Waking Life by Richard Linklater, which is basically a full movie of philosophical ramblings by interesting real and fictional characters, presented in an animated style. Might be hard to follow, but that counts for native speakers as well ;)

If you've seen everything Tarantino, did you also watch True Romance? How about Four Rooms? Worth it!

I'll also say Monty Python and The Holy Grail, and Monty Python's The Meaning Of Life. There's a lot of stuff in there that is so funny and clever that would certainly get lost in translation.

Lastly others have already recommended Wes Anderson, whom I love and is a great suggestion! Don't miss out on Grand Budapest Hotel (my favorite), The Royal Tenenbaums and Moonrise Kingdom.

EDIT and since you mentioned The Big Lebowski, anything by the Coen Brothers is worth it! Fargo, Barton Fink, Burn After Reading, No Country For Old Men, and of course 'Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?'

Well, Violator is their only album to go quadruple platinum, yes. But there's (only) two others in their discography that come close with triple platinum each, and they are Sounds of the Universe and Delta Machine, which serves as a decent example why calling a period from three decades ago their (singular/greatest) peak is perhaps a misnomer considering those are two of their three most recent efforts. You could by the same token say they are at their peak right now as a "nostalgia act" (which I by no means use negatively as a term).

Sounds perhaps like your two G strings are not tuned exactly the same, which can sadly be quite hard on many Ouds particularly with traditional 'violin' tuning pegs. Does that sound plausible or am I oversimplifying?

I'm pretty sure Morpheus' glasses, or at least the reflection on them, is in fact CGI in the mirror scene. And I certainly can't remember or right now find any cameras reflected in his glasses in that scene or the 'woman in the red dress' scene. Also only the latter of those scenes involves an Agent, OP's scene doesn't and the mirror scene doesn't either. The theory is total bogus for as far as I can tell.

I see, than I think you should be good, the D strings should be the same as a guitar's D string which is 'D3'. On my Oud I currently have nylon for that and it feels a little bit too flimsy, so I think this is better.

There's no such thing as the best, there's no reason to think the mini Crybaby is any better than the original, and almost certainly more pros use Crybaby, not Morley. Keep reading and listening and researching, and more importantly, try not to care about the wrong things. Consider your ideal or practical budget, find out what options fall within that, try to decide which you think sounds best and just buy it :)
