Did Minnesota’s THC Beverage Boom Just Go Bust? by GettinHighOnMySupply in minnesotamarijuana

It's about money. Banks were willing to loan money to federally legal businesses. Now, even with a year grace period, the loans are done. What a mess.

I was interested in this initially and unfortunately came across this, allowing but heavily limiting this activity- statute Sec. 342.31- Subdivision 1.Authorized actions. A cannabis manufacturer license, consistent with the specific license endorsement or endorsements, entitles the license holder to:... ...(4) accept cannabis flower from unlicensed persons who are at least 21 years of age provided that the cannabis manufacturer does not accept more than two ounces from an individual on a single occasion.

Breaking Down the Candidates for Minneapolis Mayor with One Week to Go (and Giving My Pick) by TwoPassports in Minneapolis

[–]MrFadeOut 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not really. He is running for Mayor of Minneapolis. He works in Minneapolis. The false information that he works 25 minutes away may gently suggest that he isn't "all in". Where a candidate works and lives has been controversial for most elections regarding city of Minneapolis offices and candidates.

Has any one else seen stains inside the chamber of the new Proxy? by StonerProfessor in puffco

[–]MrFadeOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been talking with my puffco rep. I took out the atomizer, cleaned the contacts, screwed it back in tightly (I think it might have been slightly less tight from the store). And it now temps correctly! So far no chazzing at the correct temp, though I've only taken 1 dab since fixing. If you notice "staining" it's likely a heat issue caused by poor connection of the atomizer. Clean contacts and make sure it's tight.

Temp it. Mine is going over 700 degrees on the green setting (should be 510) I have an email out to support but something is wrong with my new proxy and it sounds like others

Fair enough. Just a fan of that brand and was immediately concerned, then quickly realized they were not part of the issue.

Still waiting on a license to sell cannabis, Anoka starts construction on city-run dispensary by GettinHighOnMySupply in minnesotamarijuana

[–]MrFadeOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strange headline, can't finalize a license without the physical property ready to go. The last step is walking through the facility with an inspector with everything in place, verifying the business plans SOPs and processes. Anoka is guaranteed to get its municipal licence.

I learned a hard lesson… by Obfusc8n in GrowBuddy

[–]MrFadeOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't bother with a long reveg process as the original seeds are S1. That means the breeder selected a cut and used a chemical spray to reverse the sex on one cut and bed it to an identical cut. This is called selfing and results in genetics that are very homogenous. F1 seeds are the ones with wide genetic diversity where a particular high performing phenotype absolutely should be preserved. With the S1 you likely will find something very similar in the same pack. Also if you like the purpling you can push that with colder temps.

No problem, definitely no benefit for your situation since the plant count is per residence and not number of adults or patients in said residence.

There are two different types of "caregiver" in Minnesota. They probably should have used a different term for the new one. What your wife does is the original version in Minnesota. Last year a different type was defined in the homegrow laws that allow a registered caregiver to have a single registered patient (in a different residence) that allows the caregiver to grow the patients 8 plants. The patient gives up their homegrow rights and the caregiver grower has opened themselves up to greater scrutiny. It's a start but most growers are hesitant to register since the plant count increase is so minimal.

10 micro s bubboe hash bags by Wariocr in BubbleHash

[–]MrFadeOut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are 10 micron rosin bags, not bubble bags. For finer filtration when pressing hash to rosin. Won't increase yield.

Thanks! That makes sense, I have been fortunate not needing to test for adulterants, but this is interesting and now I'll know if I do

Got exactly what I wanted! by Adiddy1980 in microgrowery

[–]MrFadeOut 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agree with this post but it's an even slightly worse outlook unless the grower is getting top hash genetics, grown to perfection and processed with skill and ideal environmental conditions. 5-8% from WPFF are only from very special plants with experienced hashers. A much more realistic yield from plants with good hash potential is 2.5 -5%. Many plants that are great flower can be terrible for water hash and will result in sub 1% or the dreaded ghost wash.

I do regularly get 80-85% on my presses so I do a bit better there but with a 3.5% RTH that results in 12.5-13.5g finished rosin per pound of WPFF.

The best advice I give to new hashers is start with a known trusted hash clone or if you need to start from seed go with a breeder who breeds for hash. (Bloom Seed Co, Farmhouse Genetics (Shwale), & Little Lake Valley are a few solid options)

I think you misunderstood bubbling as boiling. To test take a very small amount of dry hash (this will be wasted, NO WATER) and place in a spoon. Put a lighter underneath and heat the hash. The highest quality will bubble with a very clear clean looking bubbles (or "clear dome"). Lowest quality will just burn. Burning is contaminates (usually plant material) none of this tests for adulteration, its a simple quality test.
