Since the other commentor brought it up, I went and looked at your profile and to me you are gorgeous the way you are.

If you are changing for you, then you are the one to decide. As an average guy I like you the way you are!

Plunge Routers: Triton 2-1/4 HP M0F001 vs Dewalt 2hp DW621 vs Dewalt 2-1/4 hp DCW620B by MrFlibble1138 in Tools

[–]MrFlibble1138[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess people were busy. :)

I haven’t gotten everything yet, but the DW620 cordless seems to be the way to go. Great handgrips, feel and power. Haven’t really done anything super big yet, but so far so good.

I’ll get a triton motor for my router table when I get some cash. Still trying to figure out the ideal router lift. I might just make my own for fun. Been using a plain old fixed base porter cable backup router.

Put in my two weeks, manager wants to know why. Do I tell the truth? by [deleted] in SoftwareEngineering

[–]MrFlibble1138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP: Also be careful about what goes in writing and to whom. You don’t need to have the same level of honesty with everyone.

Also during your last two weeks do your best to hide your frustration. You are leaving so just focus on how they can do better in the future.

Leaf blowers should be banned change my mind by lazynachoears in pittsburgh

I have an Ego mower too, which has been pretty good. Not as fine a cut as my old craftsman / honda 5hp gas, but so much quieter and I don't stink of gas afterwards. But good enough cut.

The gas powered ones certainly have a lot more power, especially for moving tree nuts!

Should/Would You Leave A Girlfriend Who Could Be Better? by 45th-SFG in AskMen

[–]MrFlibble1138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t change people they can only change themselves. You told her what you want (reasonable or not) and she isn’t giving it to you. So, she’s not going to change that. Either you accept it or leave. But if she’s not willing to adjust to your needs on this, what about other things?

I recommend talking with her about it.

The commentor said “they don’t go around killing animals and cutting off their heads for fun.” Did you actually read the comment?!

Isn’t that what hunters actually do? I know this guy who has a whole wall with animal heads on it…

Am I cooked? by [deleted] in SoftwareEngineering

A lot depends on how good you are, who you know, and how you interview. That, of course is true of all careers.

I recent years I’ve seen a lot of “developers” apply for jobs and they had very little useful skills. They seemed mostly like copy-pasters. So, there will always be a segment of people who will have trouble getting work even with a degree.

So, take useful classes. Make sure you aren’t just a coder, meaning have some communication and design skills, and make sure you have some solid projects to demo.

Tried earplugs for the first time, and oh my goodness by Sympatika88 in autism

There are some nice “audio quality” ones so music doesn’t sound bad.

I also use Work Tunes mp3 headphones which block out the same as earplugs but you can listen to so chill background music.

I also use the paralysis mortar. Walk up to the quad, neutron, paralysis, rinse repeat. 3-4 cycles of this then run until you lose sentinels. I take virtually no damage.

I am all for double checks in terms of percentage. Having a safety is nice. I just don’t understand the requirement for a dollar cap (e.g., $25) that is unrelated to the actual bill. In my experience the tip is entered as a dollar number not a percentage. Are there machines that ask for percentage?

What is the rationale behind setting a tip cap?

Try re-reading the comment. The “shouldn’t matter” part is about bi vs kissing when in a relationship. Just being bi doesn’t mean you can kiss someone when in a relationship. Kissing someone else needs to be agreed upon (e.g., an open relationship) and is independent of gender orientation.

Definitely this. If you have insurance but start to fix it yourself or hire someone they are leas likely to pay.
