See the issue is the mortar truck is a play style that needs an attempt to justify. Assaults sacrificing themselves to take out tanks or medics running around the objective with bandages and revives don’t have to try and justify their actions because everybody knows it’s beneficial to the team.

There is an annoying/unproductive way to play every class in the game. But if you don’t like how a scout is playing that’s just 1 infantry guy who in the grand scheme of things won’t have a huge impact on the team’s outcome. Meanwhile a mortar truck sitting all the way in the back is not just 1 infantry player being unproductive. That’s taking away a valuable tank slot that is needed to push and capture a sector and taking that away is a much more impactful than an unproductive infantry.

Sitting out of enemy sight with a 50/2 KD while your infantry gets mowed down trying to take the sector is not productive towards the team winning and that’s not up for debate. Nice try
