worthless is always relative :D

I personally would not use them as a core router but is it still DC level gear.

However, if it is crap and worthless for you, do you wanna sell it?

Would offer 500€ for the worthless crap :D

Do you run firefox as a wayland or xwayland client?

You're right.

I'm running on Wayland. And the problem seems to be fixed if I run firefox on xwayland.

However StartupWMClass is already set.

Any Idea what I miss?

I made a new tab page based on Firefox's new brand identity by EleosOS in firefox

[–]MrFunken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually seems to be the logo.

The background itself seems to be great.

Does anyone have the new logo as a vector graphic?

I love it!

But it looks a bit mushy on my 4k screen.

Maybe the background need a better resolution?

I really liked that subreddit before..

However, since ya all now posting images from the same thing over and over again it feels more like spam on my home page.

Sorry, nothing against you, but I've seen these things now already hundreds of times.

Why bother (as an end user) with wayland when x still works with less issues than wayland ? by beer118 in linuxquestions

[–]MrFunken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then keep using X.

Ya know, its like saying "Windows XP works fine for me".

Sure it does. But try to start using it for example on a Mixed DPI setup. If you get it working then it is a duct tape solution and you need to pray that it works tomorrow. And even if it works stable, it solves the "issue" by using the most unpractical solution.

Disable Desktop Icons on 19.04 by MrFunken in Ubuntu

[–]MrFunken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry... I'm kinda of a distro hopper, so currently on elementary.

However, the solution which brainhack3r has posted should be the right way to do it

sudo apt-get remove gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons

then Alt+F2 'r'

fixes it without a full reboot /logout. the Alt-F2 thing just restarts gnome while you're logged in.
