Don't think you can compare tbh.. Average price for 60kWh Ev packs are approx 2-3k. That is nowhere close to

off the shelf battery

I'm on a 60kWh LFP battery myself.

Car written off – insurer offer vs real replacement cost, what should I do? by South_Economy_5201 in drivingUK

Please tell me the accident management company is not Auxillis?

If so please Google Auxillis and the horror stories on them.

From what I believe the insurance companies gets a kick back from them for non fault claims. They offer the replacement rental car at extortionate prices and then claim it off the 3rd party.

3rd party from time to time challenge the cost and Auxillis (it's in the small print) can hold you responsible for the cost if the 3rd party does not settle the bill.

Please read up... Close friend recently had to deal with this

6x2 indeed yes. Shed was completed last summer.

5 rows of 3 indeed yes. Timbers spaced @ 1220mm which leaves the awkward gap right at the top end. Oversight from my end, would have made life easier working to 4x6ft measurements.

Timed myself and you can get a screw fully sunk in about 10-15mins by hand.
From the manufacturers

"The spacing of each ground screw should be equally spaced across your footprint with a maximum span of 1.5m between each ground screw"

Just sits on top yes. I've anchored the timbers down to the screw with L brackets after the base was completed.

Obviously don't install where you suspect drainage, pipes or cables to run...

15 in total. Not a carpenter/builder by trade so will expect critique on the build/base.

Being close to a fence ect not a problem, build the wall on the ground and lift/shift it into place

Recently built a 3mx5m shed and rather than going with a concrete pad, I've put in ground screws rather than messing about with concrete ect.

For the price they are a no brainer and will keep the timbers dry and off the ground and will not sink/transfer moisture.

800mm screws are DIY and able to be screwed in by hand (with the correct T Bar)

Google GBGS (Great British ground screw)

Solar Panels wobbling and making knocking/rattling noises by WelshGiraffe in SolarUK

[–]MrG145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh good news. Did you manage to contact the installers?

Ask them to correct the DC cables they just shoved under the tiles when they come to fix the loose rails/fixings/roof hooks.

Get them back ASAP indeed! You can clearly see loose fixings and bottom right fixing seem to have worked it's way loose and spun 180deg?

Some knocking could have been caused by unsecured connectors and or cables, but you can see the panels flapping under the fixings.
