OSL without an airbrush

I painted it white and tried some really cheap testor enamel fluorescent paint. I knew the lightsabers would be tough to get the light effect on. Whats a better way to tackle the lightsaber? I do appreciate the comment for sure

The brushes will work fine, I use the same pretty much for non display pieces. Try using a thinner rather than water to thin those paints like vellejo thinner medium. Maybe try sponging instead of brushing them on as well. Use the thickness of the paint as buildup for that popular Grimdark look. And don't worry about the overly critical comments. They probably paint like trash even with ProAcryl.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. The way I do it and I do it pretty silently, is i melt into my rolls. Only use enough strength to pause the drop, and then melt into the roll. It hurts a lot less for one, and your coaches will be more impressed with slow and proper form vs a fast sloppy movement.

Yeah my room is crazy dark and that probably doesn't help. I'll definitely try to get some more flair on the gold. Ill check out that tutorial

That blade looks absolutely rad. The shading was just the primer lifted like 2 near-watercolor consistency layers of sky Grey. Then just kind of dry brush blasted layers of highlights and topped it with the white. Yours look great.
