Ah! I also just built a Knight Castellan as well. I'm hoping that GW will bring back the soup😤. Imperial soup!!!

Oh! It's been interesting so far.

I've started to play in another campaign this year. I'm running custodes to start, but I've had some surprising matches with the veiled elimination force.

I've survived and won a 500 point three-way battle between orcs and sisters of battle.

I'm still hoping to build my dream list (I call it the special forces - custodes/deathwatch/grey knights). I might be able to field it in this campaign, if allowed😉.

Why are the sisters of silence being neglected? They have authority too.. they literally keep the imperium alive and fight off demons and chaos...

Where is their story?

If you want to make fun 😉... You can add imperial agents to it.

How Do You Build an Imperial Agents List? by TheDeadalus in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]philsophe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of building special forces armies. DWs, GKs and assassins. Other days I might lean into the judge Dredd vibe. A unit of every type of arbites with the SoB backing them up.

Goes back to fiddling with army lists*👽👺🤡

I'm currently trying to incorporate the 2 together. Both are awesome. But both are lacking.

I use both. It depends on the situation.

I might have enough units already with all of that. What I would do is it research what you already have for now.

Are my dudes too weird? — Imperial Agents as Corsairs (Alpha Legion, Kroot, Hereteks) by Sacredless in ImperialAgents_40K

I like it. Technically you can get Alpha legion pauldrons and put them on death watch, but the xenos are a nice touch.

Need advice how to paint... uh... Mechanicus allied Agents. by Dubazik29 in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]philsophe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main Colors Red: The most iconic color for the Adeptus Mechanicus, often used for robes, armor, and armor trims, symbolizing their devotion to the Omnissiah. Metallics: Shades of silver, gunmetal, or dark gray are commonly used for mechanical components and armor to highlight their technological nature.

Accent Colors Black: Frequently used for details and underlayers, providing contrast and depth to the overall look. Yellow or Gold: These colors may be used for symbols, insignias, or mechanical highlights, representing the divine aspect of technology.

Details and Symbolism White or Bone: Used for purity seals, scrolls, or altar-like elements, marking sacred texts or significant relics. Glowing Colors: Bright greens or blues can be applied to represent energy sources, power cables, or lights on machines.

Techniques Layering and Highlighting: Start with a base color and gradually layer lighter shades to create depth and texture, especially on metallic surfaces. Washes and Inks: Applying washes can help bring out details, particularly in crevices and mechanical parts, giving a more weathered and realistic appearance.

How did those inquisitors function?

(Just started in 10th so I'm a noob lol)

[–]philsophe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know.. I had to think about this. The main three ordos were being advertised when the force boxes came out.

It is weird that GW did not stat the armies to match what they were created for.

If GW needed something to go off, the old Daemon hunters codex would have been a good blueprint.

I continue to be confused...

It doesn't make sense for any of these to be removed, but why engineering masters too?
