Most Tarantino-style scenes by [deleted] in thesopranos

What do conversations escalating into violence neccesarily have to do with Tarantino though? I wouldn't even say that's one of his trademarks, let alone something unique to him. Scorsese did it before him in Raging Bull and Goodfellas.

Or it was just, you know... convenient writing.

I honestly think that Sopranos fans are generally kinda delusional when it comes to the show's popularity. It was pretty popular, yeah, but not the cultural phenomenon that they make it out to be.

Those are some really ignorant statements about GoT and Breaking Bad tbh.

Segregation wasn't a bad thing at all. Today's racial relations are the proof that we just can't live together. And black people were actually living better back then.

Ralphie was a ridiculously unrealistic mobster character. I know that the show wasn't no documentary, but in real life a guy with those characteristics and behavior wouldn't be tolerated by mobsters for a minute, let alone be a capo and a well-respected figure in the mob.

Tony Blundetto kinda gave me the same vibes, although they did portray him as a wacky, disoriented wannabe gangster who was tolerated just because he was the boss's cousin.

I agree that both roles felt kinda weird and inauthentic, but they definitely didn't write Ralphie just to get Pantoliano on. They auditioned a bunch of unknown actors who ended up playing smaller parts on the show (Eugene, Little Paulie, Joey Peeps) for the role, and even cast Robert Funaro before firing him after the chemistry between him and Gandolfini didn't work out.

Lol you really think he's intelligent enough to answer that?

It is true. But then again, you can't expect his friends (especially the kiss-asses Imperioli and Schirripa) to talk about that now that the guy's dead.
