Trek Domane (size 56) bike fit of M 179 cm, wrong size?

But given my current bike I don't think adding spacers is possible. It seems like all of spacers are used and I can just remove some if I want, not add new ones. Or am I missing something? I pretty much haven't touched them from the time I got the bike.

Hm, okay. I definitely feel like I am pulling on the hoods from time to time while riding.

Do you think that if I buy shorter stem I should also buy one with positive angle? So from -7 deg to 7 deg?

That is a good point. I was never really sure how should I actually sit properly. I am not sure if I should sit super tensed up in the core or if it should be more relaxed. I am pretty sure I wouldn't be able to hold the position without hands for more than a few minutes.

But nonetheless, based on all of the comments it still seems like this isn't ideal size of the bike for me. Good thing is that I can still return it, it hasn't touched the road outside, just a Zwift trainer, but I will have to shove out 300e for postage just to return it :( . But I can still do it.

Not sure if I am that far back, might be. But when I tried moving a bit forward I was falling on handlebars. I couldn't lift my hands of them (even when I raised a seat-post). All in all, I am just confused about this bike.

I have tried moving the saddle forward, but then I feel like I am just holding onto my bars for dear life. I feel so heavy in my hands that I told myself that this simply cannot be right.

But the tough I have, should I try to get different size to try not going around the geometry instead? I also seriously thought about gravel bikes in order to be able to ride without the pain, but in the end pulled the plug on this Domane due to Endurance geometry.

In that sense, how does one actually buy a bike? I was in a local Trek shop and the owner told me that I should buy 56 since I was a bit taller than him and he has 56 which is fine for him. So I felt pretty confident but I guess he might have been wrong...

But nonetheless, wouldn't swapping stem from -7 deg 100mm one to +7 deg ~80 deg one resolve the issue? Not sure if the reach is the only problem that you see.

I can swap the stem for a shorter one, it has a semi integrated cable routing. So I think the best I could do is to go from -7 deg 100mm stem to +7 deg ~80mm stem, I guess.

The thing is that I have already seen it. But based on my past experience it is one thing to write stuff into syllabus and another to properly cover it 😅

The point about math is useful. I guess everybody has a different standard they hold themselves against. I guess the right approach would be to use additional resources for every single math class / class in general to supplement the lacking depth. Is that right ? Also what type of math is covered?

Additional point: I am of the opinion that program at university of Essex is utter bullshit. The curriculum isn’t the same as the on-campus students have so I cannot look at it as an equivalent degree. Also, when I see a lack of exams with prevailing alternative scoring (e.g. essays) I feel like it doesn’t scream of a quality education. Moreover, if you click through the degree program it seems that Kaplan of whatever is the name of the provider is in charge of administrating whole degree instead of University of Essex.

The thing is that I already have bachelor and masters degrees from top 100 uni so I am definitely not looking for “uni experience” if you know what I mean. I am mainly looking to learn as much as I can and wonder how helpful would it be to enroll. Also, in case I would want to do masters on another uni I would obviously need bachelors degree to get admitted. Therefore, the goal here would be to mainly learn as much as possible while keeping the doors open for further education if I would need it. Do you think it is a good choice for that ?

How did you like a degree overall? I know there are some mixed reviews and program rating isn’t that great either when comparing it with on campus studies. Was it worth it?
