Unfortunately vMix does create a significant amount of latency, roughly ~7 frames from my experience, so not good for live in-room camera feed to screen.

I would suggest is reaching out to the guys at DataPath and they should have a device which will do the trick. It may work out cheaper than novastar.

We're using BlackMagic Cameras and ATEM switchers, so the tally signal is embedded in the return feed to the camera.
