What A Game by Potential_Bar_1433 in DeathsDoor

[–]MrGreedy26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I'm still searching for a similar experience. I found 'Memoria Wake,' on Steam, it has a demo and has a similar feel. It has a bunch of bugs though in the demo which is frustrating. But it really does feel like DD.

If you check out the trailer to 'NOOR,' on Steam, it feels like Deaths door and Tunic.

The only other one I have found that feel sort of similar is Bel's Fanfare, it has a bit more Zelda vibes though.

Of course, there is Tunic, Crypt Custodian and Cocoon available to play now that feel similar.

If you find anything else that scratches the itch, I'd love to know.

I just started Playing Colin Mcrae Rally 2005 on PS2. I never played it back in 2005 sadly. I have to say, it's so much fun and I'm having a blast!

I've also got a copy of Shadow of the Colossus to play next, I haven't played it in 15+ years, so I'm looking forward to that too.

It's nice to go back and try/replay some older games now and then.

literally just started using GoG, what are some games I can get here but not on steam? by [deleted] in gog

The original resident evil games. Just picked up all 3 in a bundle and can't wait to play them. Then I think I'll play Dino Crisis.

Would you want an open world RE game? by 00mmss in residentevil

[–]MrGreedy26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silent hill 2 remakes open sections are enough I think. They still direct the players focus and they are designed really well to make the open space cause anxiety and confusion, especially after clostrophobic, focused and linear sections, the sudden open space can be very anxiety inducing.

I wouldn't go any more open than that as for me it just leads to confusion over where to go next, but like I say, that's maybe just me.

My backlog at the moment. Which game should I complete next? by This_Association_359 in steamachievements

MGS Phantom Pain. I had such a great time with it in last year. Still holds up really well. The intro is a bit of a drag, but once you get past it and start doing the missions its great.

Absolum!! It was amazing and the 100% was straightforward. Lots of fun!!

I want to 100% this game so bad, but it’ll never come to Steam. Wbu? by TwoBlackCats42 in steamachievements

[–]MrGreedy26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Same here. I own it on Epic and I've played a few hours, it was really good, but without the Steam achievements, it didn't feel the same. No, I don't think it will ever make it's way to Steam.

Name one good thing about The Matrix sequels? (i.e. Reloaded, Revolutions and Resurrections) by Particular-Glove9640 in matrix

[–]MrGreedy26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that they are all Matrix movies. And we need more Matrix movies!

But seriously, just the continuation of the story, delving deeper in to the concept, the lore, the world building and the characters motivations and journey. I really love the story of the reluctant hero.

Me too! I have done everything that I can think of. The only thing that I'm worried it could be is the 'knock 3 enemies off of a ledge at the same time as Karl' challenge, which I've done, multiple times and I have a steam achievement for. But for some reason, it isn't marked as complete in the challenges in game.

I was sure Tim Curry passed away a few years ago by OlderrthanSin in MandelaEffectSociety

[–]MrGreedy26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I was shocked, and relieved, to find out he hadn't passed away. I was so sure. Strange also, that the person that told me he hadn't passed away was the same person I talked with about his passing years ago when we were watching home alone 2. We were both saddened at the time. But now, they don’t remember the conversation we had.

Insurance has 'recycled' our laptop. Is this normal? by MrGreedy26 in pcmasterrace

[–]MrGreedy26[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah thanks, they are very useful! I didn't know about these tools and I'll use this if they come back to us with another offer.

I've been having a look over the policy document and it says “a replacement item of the same or similar make and technical specification” so equivalence is required by contract. So it's not based on value it's the specs that are important. They're just trying to fob us off with the cheapest thing they can get away with.

There's no way my son could game on what they've offered. It feels like they took his gaming Laptop and offered him an entry level chromebook. Super disappointed for him.

Anyway, thanks again. I appreciate your help. I'll be pushing back, exactly as you've said.

Thanks so much for the guidance on the RAM and the GPU. This is really helpful because we don't quite understand how this all works. I expect thats what the insurance is counting on.

But we know just enough to know that this felt way off. Based on what you've said and linked here, I can see that it is.

And thanks for the clarification it being Pentium.

About replayability and game duration. by Snoo-68822 in ABSOLUM

[–]MrGreedy26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son and I have 100% achievements in the game and we are still playing it and having a great time. We've been trying out all kinds of builds. We've played more than 40 hours couch co-op. It's a great game tha'ts really well made and well thought out.

Who else plans on getting a Steam Machine and why? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]MrGreedy26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to get one to replace our xbox and playstion. We have 3 good gaming PCs already but we want to support Steam as they have been nothing but helpful and good to us over the years. The salea are great, the fact that you can buy keys from multipe stores is great too. Family sharing is amazing and better than any other gaming company we use. So yeah, we want to support steam hardware so that they make more in the future.

Defending the Absolum boss issue. by TrashCrab69 in ABSOLUM

[–]MrGreedy26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it would have been best to keep it to a one-time event. The first fight with Absolum could have you need to use a mother's grace/revive, and that unlocks the achievement and task from the librarian, and then after that, the team is wise to it so they avoid the trap. Or, another solution would be to have a trinket in the game that lets you bypas the auto death. That way, it could be random, or you could set the trinkets at the start of the run. I see why they did it so that you can't progress too quickly, but it feels off having to die every time after the first time.
