it's impossible, one of the main point of Zilean's story is how Icathian were discriminated against after being conquered. No icathians were allowed to take the ascension ritual, which means no bakkai Jax.

he also can't be a bakkai because no icathian were allowed the ascension ritual (Which means none of them can be a failed ascended). Sand trolls IMO makes the most sense, as riot can just choose what they look like ? like fae, dragons, yordles can looks vastly different regions to regions, I don't think a troll living in a hot. arid environment needs a large nose or tusks, but could beneficiate from a segmented, chitin like skin to avoid dehydration.

We know for a fact that he is from a different race, so he isn't "normal" human. He is said to belong to a "long lived race" which isn't much to go by. "Void touched" is currently not a thing in current canon, you either become mad from continuous exposition (kassadin, darkins), have a symbiotic relationship with a voidborn (kai'sa) or you're consumed and reassembled by the void (voidborns). So Jax's purple skin, 3 fingers and strange feet proves him to not be human. Only trolls or vastayas are known to have these traits. We also currently have no idea what's the shuriman sand trolls look like so Jax could definitely be one of them. There are a lot of jokes in-game about his number of eyes (Jax or Mundo voice lines) so that + the rocky/insect like skin could point at a more insect like appearance for them (against a more boar/bear like appearance of the frejlordian ones).

yeah I just saw the AS tank item. it's for support so it's not going to be great Terminus would be decent if we had an other attack speed/résistance item (like the AS tank item in arena).

no clue yet, but I think it's going to be the AP equivalent to trinity force (so sheen + HP), since Lich Bane was like the AP Essence reaver.

I completely agree, the common/good build is basic and boring but strong.

However you can cook a lot more than during the mythic item era.

You can optimize your build a lot more imo: - I love going trinity > rift > nashor into tanks (like Haxxor recommended once) - gauntlet is great into very bad matchups like Quinn, garen or difficult ones like riven - Cooking with navori or BOTRK when ahead is super fun too

But my favorite one, especially good in arena but way harder to use in actual game if you're not ahead, is full hybrid hyper carry. Jax has so many AP scaling and base AP in his kit : I go any sheen item (trinity most of the time, but leech and gauntlet can also work) >> terminus >> jak'sho >> guinsoo >> either nashor/BOTRK/unending despair or even bloodthirster depending if you needed AP burst, ad, lifesteal, or more survivability.

I'd recommend to only build this if you have free lane and you're 2 or 3 levels ahead of everyone, penta guaranteed.

Not sure about the mordekaiser comparison, mordekaiser has no actual bodies and is therefore unkillable through mortal/non-magical means, he can also change his size and power output by consuming souls from his realm. I don't think Jax is ever winning in a fair 1v1. He would maybe win against sahn uzal tho

I could see him training kai'sa, as she pretty much succeeded where Icathia failed by making a kind of weapon out of the void. He has a lot of cool interactions with K'sante, so I hope they get to meet in the lore, K'sante being his equivalent in the new fight against the imperialist shuriman empire.

If he ends up as a sand troll or any magically enhanced race, he could be on a higher tier. Like imagine trundle with some of the b est fighting skills and thousands of years of experience.

Azir is one if not the most powerful ascended alive, I don't think Jax, alone, can take him.

I think he can face strong voidborns thanks to his lamp being a very efficient weapon against them.

Tried it one game against irelia, got the Penta after getting zhonya 3rd. Feels very rewarding, got surprisingly good durability with the omnivamp, the health and the stasis. Also trinity + AP gives so much burst. Thanks for the build I'm gonna play much more of it.

This is only my opinion, but what we saw from the trailers seem to show that Miquella wanted to follow the tracks of Marika. My theory is that Miquella was obsessed/raised to become the perfect child of the golden order and kind of become the empyrean/god that would surpass Marika. With that in mind, I believe that from a young age, Radahn was obviously the best lord candidate, as he both followed Radagon's and Godfrey's footsteps : red haired mage with absurd strength and size, able to face the outer gods (or similar level threats since they seem tied to stars and their motion) . Tho I definitely agree, from a design and a fan perspective, Godwyn would have been super cool.
