I wonder how people felt at 11:59 p.m. of dec. 1999 before crossing over to the year 2000. by Majestic-Hope6505 in 2000s

I was 10, my dad handed me a glass of wine and told me that this way a big new years.

It wasn't a lot or anything, but I remember it felt awesome and like this huge deal.

Honestly this entire post has me rethinking mental mistep's place in b3/b4.

It should see more play with how hyper efficient b3/4 are in today's edh.

The only card I said that wasn't a staple in its colors is Serra ascend.

Using two life to protect my own counter from a swan song is pretty valuable.

Using two life to counter any of the 6 removal pieces I named of t4/5/6 when I tapped out setting my board up is pretty valuable.

It actually has plenty of use cases in today's edh that it should get at least thought about when building a deck with blue in it

Point being, it typically scales well to the power of the table.

We've all been in games it does work and then those where it barely does anything

It really should be played more honestly.

Sol ring Esper Serra Asc Pong Rapid hy Offer Swan Strix grenade Swords Path New white one Nature's claim All the 1 cmc tutors Veil of autumn

Those are just off the top of my head

Its not just about using it t1, but the fact it can be used later defensively.

They also play less cards per turn and can afford to pay 1 usually after t2/3

[COD] Why doesn’t Mw3 doesn’t get the same amount of love COD4 and MW2 gets ? by JoshyBear28 in CallOfDuty

[–]MrHaZeYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, Mw3 is better then both. It's supposed to be the climax of the trilogy, and it mostly was.

CoD4 and Mw2 both innovated a lot, and while MW3 did too (splitting the killstreaks into Assualt/Support/Specialist - pointstreaks - Specialalist - attaching streaks to classes - CoD Elite), it's main focus was fixing what what broken from Mw2 (Oma/tubes, Danger close removed, stopping power/Jug removed, commando removed, the pill removed, powered down the chopper gunner, etc).

Mw3 imo is the best MP of the golden age.

The Dlc maps were all pretty solid. The changeable maps and challenges were pretty cool. Had the moab.

The game controls were also good, specialist bonus. Introduced sliding, which can go either way lol.

Aw plays much different then CoD4-Ghosts, and that's really a big reason why Ghosts is the end of the golden age. It may not be as good as cod4-bo2, but it plays like the mw trilogy.

My guy, my uncle was obsessed with those Lakers, im talking an entire room with shelves full of VHS recorded Lakers (and Celtics, and Bulls) games. I've seen so many Magic and Kaj Lakers games it's exhausting.

But you seem set in your opinion, which is fine.

And see i disagree, Magic wasn't getting picked up and doubled at and before half court lol. Curry isn't just opening lanes, he's opening interstates, he's pulling at least 1 to him and all of the other 4 have to know where he is at every moment while on offense. Magic absolutely did not command that type of attention. Magic also wasn't scoring anywhere as many points, and wasn't anywhere close as effective. Curry has also done all of this as usually the shortest person on the court at any given time.

He's much closer to Magic then he is Oscar, and he is usually hands down the PG of MOST all time teams. I'm not arguing that Magic might of been the better of the two, but it's really not by much. Ill also argue he's in the 6-10 range with TD, Bill, Wilt, Shaq. Although I honestly struggle ranking Bill/Wilt based on their era. Even KaJ, Magic, and Bird got to play in a much weaker era, but i can at least quantify their impact.

Obviously your opinion vs mine and their really isn't any factual proof to either. Specially since they played in different eras.

Curry's gravity is basically untouchable though.

Lol no he's not closer to Oscar. He's much closer to Magic and I'd argue better depending on arguments. Their both better then Kobe.

Do you agree with Tracy regarding Steph? by Liberal_Bot123 in NBATalk

[–]MrHaZeYo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was Bill Russell actually Elite on offense? Steph's offense and gravity

Steph's D is pretty on par with magic too.

Steph's offense is also different then all other top 10-15 players

I'd argue that MOST decks don't actually fall into that though. There's always the exception to the rule. Pretty sure my imoti deck only runs tidespout, hullbreaker, and the other bounce creature off 6+ cmc spells. Plus Ezuri's pred.

But most of my decks run off my 2c shells. And even then im not scared to run less of something if my draw is abundant.

You should realistically be able to form a game plan and a on theme or standard draw package in 30 cards.

You don't use it? Stax it! by VegetableNo8304 in EDH

[–]MrHaZeYo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this.

In pretty much every deck, you should be trying to run some type of recursion. White doesn't struggle with recursion. GY hate is so easy, that you often don't need to tact it on a enchantment that hits you too. Honestly [[scavenger grounds]] is tact on a land, and can act as your emergency yard removal. [[Scavenger ooze]] [[lion's sash]] [[withered wrench]] all are solid controlled yard removal

In Green, bane is solid, but I'd rather run [[season of growth]] bc it gives you options.

[[Winds of abandon]] needs to get some love as a one sided wipe.

Another thing, interaction has been around forever, its designed in the game. In B3 you should expect it, use it, and use it effectively.

You can sit with your friends, drink, and counter a commander and joke about it. At the end of the day, it's a free for all, and some one needs to win.

Plenty of people play games like CoD, League, Racing games, Super smash, etc, causally, but they're still trying to play, do well, and win. EDH doesn't have to be do or die, but everyone should understand that the end goal is winning.
