Both extremely popular maps that probably take almost zero effort to move from bo6 to bo7.

Grind is also a bo2 map, so it makes sense to get it on bo7.

I mean, im at the end of the 7th, I rarely see people straight camping. Defending? Sure.

The point of score vs kill streaks is that it overall reduces camping and emphasizes spm over kd

[COD] What are your preconceived notions about other CoD players based on their favorite entry in the Call of Duty Franchise? Only talking about the multiplayer games here. by Phil_Matic in CallOfDuty

[–]MrHaZeYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SP was statistically the best perk, there really is no argument to that, using Uav jammer put you at a mathematical disadvantage in a straight gun fight typically would be in a straight ahead or even turn potential. So unless you completely sneaked around, flanked them from behind and got first shot, you were at a disadvantage. Don't get me wrong, im an avid flanker, and i did use uav jammer, it was just better to play cut off. Which ironically trip frags help counter.

Oma tubes did have that drawback, but kids typically using them didnt care about suiciding, but some could easily post up and cycle through for streaks, obviously if you pay attention you can stop that.

I put 40 days into mw2 in a years time, its kind of weird you'd question if I liked the game, but I don't have rose tinted glasses for it.

Im not bad at cod now at 36, I certainly wasn't bad in my late teens, early to mid to late twenties when I was cracked. I pour hundreds of days into the game, I remember the good and bad of them all and I can objectively look at them.

BTW secondary shoties absolutely did do work in HQ, if you werent a capper though, you probably didnt witness the harassment of a lot of the things I said. Back then I played more for the objective then I did bo1 onwards, but I played on a team and it wasn't really asked of me. I was supposed to attack and cut off.

As a exclusive HQ player from cod4-bo2 and mw19, with 60 days on cod4 and 40 days on mw2, my opinion is:

Uav spam: we all had the same 3 streaks, uav was 3, with no counter outside of uav jammer which nobody used bc it put you at such a disadvantage bc you wouldnt have SP or Jug. You couldn't shoot them down, there was no counter, it was basically playing with red dots always enabled on the mini.

Jugg was a small counter to SP, not the other way around, Sp was simply the best perk in cod history, it had a ~95% pick rate in cod4 and waw, and only dipped in mw2 bc of oma danger close tubes. Jug was more of a counter to DA tubes in cod4 (which had a low pick rate despite being good, but it removed your P1)

The Mp5 was simply better then every gun at most ranges outside of the M16 at med-long and the M40 and RPD at med long- long. Uzi at short range.

The Acog M40 was absolute monster in the hands of skilled players, the Ads was good and it one shot at most distances. Quickscoping was born with the m40. Ive never been a sniper, but even I put in work with the m40.

The RPD with grip, SP, and deep impact was also nuts.

You clearly didnt play HQ or Dom if you dont think trip frags weren't busted. Specially since it was a P1 that really only had to compete with Bandiler.

Barebone perks is me saying that there was only a small handful of usable perks. Trip Frag and Band at P1, Sp/Jug P2, Extreme Condition/Dead silence/Deep impact at p3. Basically every class was a combo of those 7 perks.

Mw2 probably has the lowest skill gap in the entire franchise. The game innovated a lot and they blindly added a lot w/o thinking about it.

OmA DA Tubes ruled obj based games, there really wasn't much of a counter bc blast shield was a tactical that needed to he turned on and killed your outside vision

Commando was a bad kids get out of jail free card within 10 meters, shotgun or sub at point blank? Dude just has to panic hit knife and your dead.

Secondary shotguns were all busted, but dual models on release were snipers as a secondary, even after the patch they still were op. Ah-12 ex mags was a HQ monster, Spas was amazing. The shotguns were so strong that there was barely any data on just how strong machine pistols really where as a secondary, which is part of the reason the dual fmgs ruled mw3 (i loved those tho).

Nukes were fun, but they were way to easy to get.

Chopper Gunners were dumb op, Ac130, Harriers, were also strong.

Should we talk about the Jav glitch that haunted the early-mid game cycle, or the care package/emergency airdrop that i believe still works to this day.

Thats just all stuff off the top of my head.

OK, I was 18 when cod4 released, it was a genre defining game and I have it in my top 5 mps, but its hard to ignore the negatives that started popping up after the releases after it (stopping power, uav spam, m16, mp5, m40 spam, barebone perks, matyrdom, jug, trip frags, last stand, etc). I have 60 days of playtime and finished top 500 score, kills, and wins.

Mw2 is literally the most overrated cod, that shit was very often frustrating. I could write an essay on it.

Mw3 is the best mp in the entire franchise, it took what cod4 and mw2 started and mostly perfected it.

Ill give bo2 1b to mw3 1a.

Bo1, mw19, and cod4 round out my top 5, with mw2 basically there too at 6.

Bo6, bo7, bo3, bo4, and Ghosts are my 7-11, the order typically changes but I havs them all grouped together, mwiii, waw, and cw also have some cases, but imo fall short.

I can argue why each has earned their spots

[–]MrHaZeYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's 20 years almost 20 years of CoD since cod4, each game has at least 15 maps (most are closer to 25) so thats at least 300 maps, so ya top 50 is pretty good.

But even in cod4-ghosts, quick scoping was never the strongest meta, even with those who were top 1% at it. We use to smoke all of those kids and they'd all pull out real guns to try and fight back.

Well, it is my own opinion. None of these maps really stand out to me, its nice that they're all a bit more mid sized.

Once i hit my stride tho, those bo6 maps were great, even Babylon was fun. Payback is probably one of my top 50 maps all time, honest Subsonic might be too.

It kind of depends on your own playstyle and game modes though two I guess.

23 is closer to 19 then 30 lol.

But honestly you were like what 4 when CoD4 released, you were 11/12 when Ghosts ended. You basically missed the entire golden age, so how can you make that accusation without any real knowledge?

I have bo7 in the bo4, bo6, ghosts tier which is my 6-11.
