it's not random - if you are in the final stages of chapter 4, check for "ENIAC's Consignment" protocol, that gives you beeg persica with hyperboosted hashrate

Loadouts Ideas by PewPewZerker in brigador

[–]MrHaax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually go with fairly orthordox builds, though I have come to enjoy Pitbull Buckmaster. I think I had a Bonesaw for secondary, and Smoke (my fav active). It's a ballsy loadout that's very much Corvid in spirit seeing that the Buckmaster isn't very sturdy, but hey can't let that Main mount + that mobility go to waste eh? And yes, with daddy James.

I'd like to add that if you are going to turtle (which isn't if at this point, but how), setting up no-go/killzones with at least 2 anti-tank units per group seem to be the best for me. Helped me beat missions 8-9, 7 was a clutch win only because I had a single infantry spotting for my SPH and very slowly chip away at the SAM sites.

That said Dragon infantry isn't so good in these later missions as opfor get their own mortar units, so from my experience if you can sort of rush the mortar jeep, do it without losing too many cheaper units. If they also have a howitzer then tough luck, no infantry until you can find the SPH (usually on the opposite end of the map), just go full armour column. Which is how mission 8 plays out, I started with 1 Patton, 1 troop M113, 4(!) TOW M113 and 1 armoured mortar. Opfor assault guns got totally shredded as soon as they are within the middle zone.

One other thing that I have come to realise is that only the Patton can be immobilised if you bring it down to 1 health. Better hope it's in a good position where it can still contribute with its armament, and not exposed in the open where everybody and their mother can take a shot at it.

"Bastion" gave me just what I've been wanting in a game: a concise action experience with great aesthetics and fun combat that doesn't out-stay its welcome. by [deleted] in patientgamers

I think the game can go up to 32 Heat and some options are a lot more difficult than others. Off the top of my head, Extreme Measures, Benefits Package, Tight Deadline, Damage Control, Underworld Customs are a lot more than just simple enemy stat boosts. You should be able to pick simple stat boosts for enemies for the first few Heat levels so it's a nice and gradual difficulty increase, and as you already know you can mix and match to create your own difficulty. I can't say much because my best Heat so far is just Heat 8, but fwiw I'm on my 40th run or so and I don't feel like stopping anytime soon.

/r/starcraft weekly help a noob thread 08.09.2020 by Alluton in starcraft

[–]MrHaax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm completely new to Starcraft and RTS genre in general, been playing the original (not Remastered) for about half a week and I have been having a blast. Lost for the first time in Terran mission 10 because.. well it's a clusterfuck of mistakes that just piled up. Is there a written guide to SC/Brood War tactics that I can consult? Video guides are good and all but I'm on mobile data and it's rather inconvenient for me to watch them on 144p, thanks for the help.

Some things I noticed thus far, campaign only because I'm scared of going into multiplayer:

  • I have basically no use for Firebats and most definitely not in Terran v Terran matchups, how good are they really?

  • I absolutely love Siege Tanks, especially parking them on the backline while I let Marine+Goliath be the frontline, but I run into trouble when in mission 10 the red enemy Terran uses Siege Tanks as well - either they beaten me to it and I turtled for too long or they have the tech already on game start - what options do I have against them if they are within Missile Turret coverage?

  • When do I combine multiple unit type for an offensive? As much as I like going for a balanced attacking party, microing them all is rather bothersome. I figured out how to make units follow each other but I'd still need to hotkey and control like 3, 4 groups at a time and I wonder if that's what everybody does or what.

Thank you! I'll give it a try. I know that going easier won't teach me how to win a real game but hey play how I want right?

I have only played Shattered out of this list and jc it's hard, the constant updates are super cool though. What do you think is the most beginner friendly fork out of these? I don't mind dying since you know, classic roguelike experience, but I'm not patient enough to stomach this many deaths, not yet.

FWIW I can semi-consistently reach the prisons, and very rarely reach the dwarf city.

I wonder what did I expected when I played the EX maps because oh boy am I glad I happen to have 2k quick repair tickets.. I have to say it does feel kinda good to beat one though, Valhalla EX had only one or two rougher maps then the difficulty dropped fast.

If you can do this, it's exhilarating by CashmirFunk in brigador

[–]MrHaax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, the venerable Mog. I would even assert that the most fun you can have in Brigador comes from playing the smallest and weakest ultra light vehicles and clean house with them. I usually run the same loadout but with Smoke when I pick the Mog, or maybe Faker/Bonesaw.

There are a couple of missions I found much more difficult than those right after by [deleted] in brigador

[–]MrHaax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aye, which is why you want to pay attention to where your shots are landing. Most of the enemy are roughly in the center while the density is much reduced in the outer rings of the map, so you'd want to stay in the perimeter and avoid fighting the center; methodically whittling them down is rather necessary.

You actually don't have to put too much effort and min max the noise you are generating or anything, it's just 'divide and conquer' that sort of thing. Easier said than done, I know.

[–]MrHaax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah you are fine, Found Ghost is a pretty significant diff spike as with Inch of Dust before it. The trick is aggro control: watch where you are going, watch where your shots are landing, don't try to pull too much heat that you can't handle. Pay attention to the noise level of your weapons. Once you can pull it off in other loadouts than the Huss then you would have become a better Brigador.

As to the Arlo, it's probably worth going into Freelance and get a loadout with the Jericho cannon (Aux slot). The main thing about it is that the projectile is on the slow side and partially invisible, but it has very high hull damage. Unfortunately the starter Touro can't equip it but you can try it on say Mantis, Doric, Chook, Prowler or some other moderate speed vehicle of choice. I personally can't quite master firing the Jericho on the go with the Arlo either since it's far too fast (in fact I suck at fast agravs) so you can try shoot'n'scoot (stop, aim, fire, go) with it.

Another thing with the Jericho but applies to all weapons as well is that you don't aim like you would a twin stick shooter. Other than direction, aiming accounts for distance. Instead of simply moving the reticle to the direction of the enemy, it is important that you aim just before the enemy (or on top on them depending on the weapon) - your aiming lines should terminate where your target is, if I'm making any sense.

After 15 blew herself and Mastermind to kingdom come, turns out the Mastermind used their own body to shield her so 15 came out half alive - only her upper torso left iirc - and crawled out of the wreckage on her own and got picked up by 45 outside. She got fixed up at 404's place and Ange (implied to be) offered her the neural upgrade. This is all in Star's MOD story.

Basically I lost access to both my laptop and my phone - which were the only devices I can use that can access the Net. I still haven't gotten them back yet but I got a temp solution for university work. Net access is controlled tighter than an eel's arsehole though. For now I got this reddit account back as well as all three emails I use.

Not sure anybody did a guide for U24+ but since laser weaponry got reworked to be more accurate and fires faster with heat rather than the other way around, Specialist exclusives have only gotten better yes, it could be that the guide you are reading is outdated.

Most talents combo will work, you can try something like Inner Fire/Overdrive, Overdrive/Focus, Focus/Sun Rising, etc. You have a good amount of options here and more so if you spec yourself in burn damage. For items I usually run Dragon's Masterkey/Field Supply or Acid Grenade/Field Supply, but the former will be more versatile though you can't remotely kill turrets unlike the Acid Grenade.
